Who are these 'people? This board is littered with countless threads and posts ripping the coach, calling for his firing, as well as posts talking about how lowly ranked IU's backcourt is, how we don't have enough bigs, how our starting guards are bench players on any good team, etc., etc.

people just like you with a different opinion

Yep. Despite an executive order for meat packing plants to remain open. I agree it has been a struggle for some to figure a way to do it, and still protect their employees.  I have already mentioned it in this thread.  But, I think it is worth repeating. A very large meat packer in Colorado has reopened, after closing. They have set up tents in a parking lot. With medical personnel. Employees have to go through the tents before entering the plant for work.

What company’s are saying in the media and what is happening in the real world are two different things. My company told us we are on our own!

Second your obvious heart felt post. All three are treasured members of Hoosier Sports Nation.

Blessings to all who have been negatively impacted by this silent enemy.

I agree, everyone I know has been negatively impacted by the virus, different situations for all but the virus touches everyone even if you don’t get it

Wow.  That's tough.  I got my number from what is being reported in the media.  I think part of it is delays in getting numbers reported.  Some of those getting reported may go back a week or more because counties aren't sending in their numbers every day.  125 is a big, big number, especially when you consider that the state reported only 7 on one day this past weekend.

The numbers being what they are, I think it makes it really tough to open back up in the immediate future.

I agree there is a lag in reporting the deaths. April 15th had been reported at 47 in an update, like you say the official totals are delayed and will change depending on the counties process.

Indiana numbers this week have not held the promise that we saw last week.  612 more cases reported today with 42 deaths.

The official Indiana website is saying 125 deaths in a 24 hour period on April 16th. So sad!

    Thought of 3 this morning...

What baseball team's nickname was "The Wheeze Kids."

What 2 fighters met in a match termed "The Geezers at Caesars."

And for my Reds fan friends...

What Cincinnati Red was nicknamed "Doggie."

Tony Perez was known as doggie

Since a lot of us will have some free time on our hands; i thought this thread could be resourceful. Name 2 shows you binged hardcore this year and 2 you are inquiring about (to see if others HSNers have seen them and would recommend them).

    Bingeworthy. (Period)
    1. Messiah on Netflix: I’m embarrassed to say I watched the entire first season in 36 hours.
    2. The Outsiders on HBO: Great show written by Stephen King; season 1 just wrapped last week

    Bingeworhty? (Question mark)
    1. Dispatchers from Elsewhere: See the commercials during Better Call Saul; looks interesting, but also looks weird. Worth it?
    2. The Sinner (Season 3): I watched the first 2 seasons, but know absolutely nothing about season 3.

Sorry if already mentioned but the Sopranos is one of the greatest, so is Seinfeld also Dexter and Band of Brothers,

I have all of my staff and faculty working remotely from home. We are now approaching 4,000 cases in NYC. It's not safe for them to commute, even though the subs are much less crowded.

Some of my staff are fairly young - in their 20s - and this is really freaking them out. I have one research assistant who has asked if he can return to his parents house in Iowa and work remotely from there. Poor kid, he just moved to NYC 6 months ago and thought he was living the dream.

On a positive note, my wife and I walked to our local Mexican place last night after placing a carryout order. It was a beautiful spring evening - the trees are starting to bloom here. When we got there, the staff already had our order together and we were all happy to see each other. They are now selling quarts of their frozen margaritas and man did they taste good!

We left them a 50% tip, b/c I consider what they are doing hazard pay worthy.

How many quarts did you buy? None of my business but curious because although I don’t drink now when I was young a quart of margaritas wouldn’t have lasted my girlfriend and I maybe an hour lol

Not for me. Looks like large corporations lobbying paid off. If I got on leave I will have to burn all my vacation because my company ain't paying.

I do have sick leave if I get sick or am declared so by a Dr. so that lasts for 6 months

Who called it a hoax? I haven't heard anyone call it a hoax. What put us in this situation is a complete lack of preparedness and utter bungling by the Administration and government, including the FDA / CDC, generally. The lack of testing was a complete fiasco.

Look at the beginning of this tread people were laughing and making light of the situation. Of course no one here knew anything and that was the outlook others in power to do something earlier looked at things. Some people were sounding the alarm but people did not want to listen
