Well let’s see how he does. I’ve been right over prior coaching staffs numerous times. If the staff is wrong, they will never hear the end of it.
Do you remember Troy Lewis? I was sick he went to Purdue and yes he killed us for 4 years but it was fun seeing the competition between players! I will be pulling for the kids playing for the Hoosiers and I don’t care if Smith scores 40 against us. You never know how a kid will do in college but I like who the staff has been offering since taking over. Btw never hear the end of it from who lol

This one looks like a mistake and we will be here for four years talking about it if it comes to fruition. I’m surprised Woody, Fife and Matta couldn’t connect the dots on this one.
I would say the staff connects the dots better than everyone on an IU message board put together times hundreds lol

I guess. This is Smith's thread btw.
I know who the thread is about i don’t put people on a pedestal like some here do! The truth is he may or may not get an offer and I don’t really care as that is not my job to promote specific people for my self interest. Bye only positive comments are allowed by you I guess fu

I will take Braden Smith... and go from there.
I guess time will tell if Woody feels the same

What about Rodney Rice, Noah Clooney, Juilian Philips and Kaleb Banks? I would like to see at least 2 of these guys play for our Hoosiers but I don’t know much about them other than they seem to fit Woody’s profile of a player that would fit his system

Can you post the link please and thank you
Well I would but I don’t know how to do that lol but C Watford and AJ Moye both had nice things to say about him including that they have been friends with Rosemond for a long time. Rosemond has been friends with Moye since AJ he was 10 years old

It’s great to hear former players endorsing our latest assistant coach! Welcome Coach Rosemond!

You KNOW for a fact they are clean because you are on staff or maybe they are better at hiding it. There are many many criminals walking the streets that have never even been accused of a crime does not make them any less a criminal.
If Scott thinks it's clean it's clean and if he thinks it's dirty it's dirty and that's fine for you to feel that way. It's your opinion and you are entitled to it. Does not make it right or wrong. You would be surprised what happens behind closed doors with many of the teams you think are clean
I am not good with words but I could have not been said any better thanks

So cheating on your wife is less or worse than getting a few bucks to a kid? Slippery slope there.
Called picking and choosing at what is acceptable or not.

All I have to say if we have to be like KU, Arizona, UK or Duke to be successful then I pass. Give me the success of UW under Ryan any day of the week. They might not have won a championship but they competed for the conference every year and made deep runs in the tournament.
I admire your convictions but do you really believe Ryan was squeaky clean? Maybe but odds are against that you succeed at that level without some other things being involved. I do wish everyone felt the way you do but that is not the world we live in today. I liked growing up in the sixties but there was cheating in college basketball then so I either give up the last sport I follow or change with the times. It is tough to do and I may just give it up some day but right now I hope we hire Rosemond to go with Fife, Hunter and Woody gets this program with the big boys as that is where we belong.

There is no such thing as a little cheating. It is like you being a little pregnant
Do you know why Nancy Knight divorced coach Knight? I do but won’t put it here! Someone else that posts here mentioned to you if you really knew what went on with the players you wouldn’t have anyone to root for! I get what you are saying it just isn’t real I personally saw an envelope handed to a recruits parent at the memorial tournament at assembly hall and that was before Sampson! There are a lot of other incidents I could tell you about as well! But they are still good kids that graduated for the most part although some didn’t and paid for other mistakes they made. You aren’t going to find perfect people in this world because everyone makes mistakes! The holier than others look is a bit smug and not realistic

It was also the fact that most fans realize that guys like Oats, Musselman and Drew and Beard was not going to leave their current jobs.
I have no idea we’re you get your information but I am pretty sure besides Oats that you are wrong

To me I think coach Woodson probably wants more size on the wing and probably don't want to play a 3 guard lineup. To me if franklin doesn't want to be here we will be fine. I think Stewart will step into his 2G position and we will look for more length at the 3 and the 4.
That’s been said repeatedly so I would say you are spot on

Oh we have NBA resources. And thankfully we are going to look more and more like an NBA in a our make up and the way we play. Just crazy to not care that he coached at by far the highest level on basketball possible. Their skill/physical development is 2nd to none.
I hope you are right in what you say

If he wins, all these people complaining will be silent, simple as that. Can’t wait to see him prove the naysayers wrong.
I agree but that can be said for any coach at any program in the country. I hope he does prove people wrong and I feel luckily we have Matta and I wish he was the head coach

i'm just trying to figure out if Dolson did this solely to make the former IU players happy? did we strike out on that many other candidates? does he really think Woodson is the guy? just wondering what the real reason behind this is. i love Matta coming on, but if this is the best we could do, and we can get Matta in this role, why not Lewis or Fife? i guess we should start talking about the buyout?
It was done to please the people with the most influence on the basketball program. Big donors and former players are the driving force behind this hire. Money talks and let’s hope it brings success

I really hope this works I love Indiana Basketball so much it has been hard to watch us slide for so many years. Not the coach I was hoping for Matta makes it a little easier but I was thinking of 5 or 6 others I would rather see lead the Hoosiers. Go Hoosiers

Braden Smith Commits to Purdue

I have no idea what they told the young man but he must have thought Purdue was the best choice for him! I too have had a lot of experiences in my 55+ years of a fan. I am going to enjoy this tremendous coaching staff and the style of play that we will see and all the kids that choose to play for the Hoosiers! And by the way is it clear that IU was not interested or he just pulled the trigger for Purdue I don’t know the answer
