Does our team watch film?
Literally the same issues every game and have yet to get better at any of those aspects.

Might want to guard the 3 point line and rebound, just a thought!

Game over, this team is pathetic!

This game feels like the episode of South Park where all the kids just want to have a fun summer and not play little league baseball so they’re trying their best to lose

Yes we're going to fill it with hot gas.
Can Hot Gas shoot a 3 and guard a traffic cone? If so, we have 30+ minutes for him.

So we’re gonna fill that final scholarship during winter break right lol?!

JFC, what an ending to the half.
Perfectly summarizes the season so far.

Very lucky UL isn’t hitting some of these wide open looks.

Crazy that effort and energy can go a long way!

We’re not quick enough to press
Not saying it’s something we should be doing regularly, but when you’re down by 10+ points with like 6 minutes remaining, there’s nothing you have to lose at that rate. I’d rather see a team exhausting all options than just rolling over and giving up.

What’s most frustrating to me is us fans have bitched and moaned for years now about adding shooters and yet the only people who refuse to acknowledge that is the coaching staff.
Another year where if we go down by 6+ points we’re screwed because we have no perimeter threats and have no ability to catch up quickly. Other teams can play bad stretches but we basically have to play a solid 35+ minutes to win. Our first 3 games are prime examples of that.
Also, not sure why when we’re down by 10+ points we don’t try a press to create turnovers and get extra possessions if we suck at rebounding. If it doesn’t work, so be it, but the idea that we just continue to do things that aren’t working and accepting defeat is mind blowing to me.

Sit Walker the rest of the game if he thinks shooting the 3 ball is something we need from him. Ridiculous

Keep getting to bucket on O and force these guys to beat Reneau/Ware/Sparks at the rim on D and we should (hopefully) be fine.

Not gonna lie, very concerned with how this game might turn out.
We played well on offense but they are hitting shots from the perimeter with confidence and I’m afraid it’s gonna be another FGCU/Army type game where the strategy becomes living and dying by the 3 ball.

Gave away all the momentum when we cared more about trying to strip the ball loose than guarding our man.
Also, Woody needs to relax on the mass subs. Work guys in gradually with those who are in a groove instead of a bunch of cold guys trying to get their legs

Don’t have a 247 account but apparently looking to visit IU, Bama, and Texas A&M.

I’d also just like to say it’s absolutely criminal that we couldn’t find another shooting guard in the 1000+ person transfer portal.
Every mid major team we’ve played for like the past 3 years has 4+ guys on the floor who are capable and confident from knocking it down from any distance.
Last time I checked 3 points is more than 2!

I’d personally like to see Cupps in the starting lineup. Healthy debate who should start at the 4 but I think having Cupps start will help ratchet up the defensive intensity. Don’t allow teams to get hot and comfortable early, and hopefully create bad shots and turnovers that result in easy transition baskets and gain some confidence and momentum there.
As others have mentioned, I would like to see what things look like without Ware/MR on the floor at the same time. Ill probably get flamed for this but I think I’m ok with pounding the ball in when you have those 2 in together because they can score easy baskets and cause foul troubles for smaller teams. I don’t like right now what we have to offer on the perimeter, so getting easy baskets/fouls and forcing teams to double should hopefully result in wide open shots for X/Gallo/Gunn/Cupps and hope they take advantage. -

Roster construction is getting exposed and will continue to.
Can’t have a bunch of guys who can play the 4/5 and then have little to no one who can create or shoot at the 1/2.
