Any news on how Penix rehab is going?
Allen has said he'll be ready for week one vs. Iowa. I am sure someone will ask during spring practice whether he is still on track for that.

Tom Allen: Indiana can't fall into that trap of believing it has arrived.

Read that this morning (thanks to the email notification...anyone who hasn't signed up for that is missing out!)
Outstanding read @The Daily Hoosier Thanks...
Thanks for signing up and reading. All credit goes to Dustin Dopirak on that story, and of course Jack Keefer.

He coached Montross and Leary, Oden and Conley, and many other greats along the way. See what Lawrence North legend Jack Keefer had to say about new IU basketball commit CJ Gunn.

Any guesses as to who is friends with that he is going to help recruit?
I need to give that one more thought. I know he is best friends with D'Ante Davis, but I don't get any sense that he is trying to get him to decommit from Louisville.

As you can tell with guys like Leal, Galloway, Kaufman, Geronimo, etc, Archie puts a premium on high character, high academic kids. Jalen Washington is in that category, has a major that lines up with IU, and has a good early relationship with the program.
Can the Hoosiers pull the first kid out of Gary to Bloomington in 60 years?

I hope we are on Reed Sheppard. He looks like a stud!!
I believe they are on him. Problem might be if he is too good, he is a Kentucky legacy (Jeff Sheppard). Definitely one of the best 23 players I saw this year.

Agree. In the video in your article he looks like a college freshman (or older) physically. I always wondered how scouts/evaluators approach someone like that playing against athletically inferior opponents because inevitably they will eventually play against equal/superior ones.
He played up two grades at times this summer which no doubt gave folks a better sense for where he is. He still didn't look out of place physically playing up two levels.

He's a good athlete and very impressive physically. If his skills catch up over the next three years of high school he will be able to go wherever he wants.

Just wonder how a kid like this gets missed by all the ranking services.
Truth be told, most of the ranking follows the lead of the college coaches. Kid starts getting offers, "scouts" suddenly realize a player is good.

No, Penix is not changing positions. I kid, I kid.
Nothing comes to mind on position changes. I agree that with Ball back perhaps Fitz could move, but I thought he moved to husky before Ball was injured. I could be misremembering the timing. In any event the most likely changes are in the DB group, as always. Usually if there are changes they tend to surface during spring practice.
