  1. I believe they are on him. Problem might be if he is too good, he is a Kentucky legacy (Jeff Sheppard). Definitely one of the best 23 players I saw this year.
  2. He played up two grades at times this summer which no doubt gave folks a better sense for where he is. He still didn't look out of place physically playing up two levels.
  3. That's fair. I went back and updated those real quick.
  4. He's a good athlete and very impressive physically. If his skills catch up over the next three years of high school he will be able to go wherever he wants.
  5. FYI, latest thoughts on the order of likelihood of a commit. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2021-big-board/
  6. Truth be told, most of the ranking follows the lead of the college coaches. Kid starts getting offers, "scouts" suddenly realize a player is good.
  7. You can listen to Troutman talk about his recruitment, IU and more on the Hoosier Experience Podcast. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-listen-to-2022-target-masai-troutman-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  8. Indiana has now offered. First class of 2023 offer. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-class-of-2023-in-state-point-guard-dra-gibbs-lawhorn/
  9. Here is more background/video on Hood-Schifino if you are interested. Very impressive talent. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-class-of-2022-top-40-guard-jalen-hood-schifino/
  10. Indiana also offered 2022 SF Justin Taylor today. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-2022-top-75-virginia-small-forward-justin-taylor/
  11. Avery spoke to our friends at the Hoosier Experience Podcast. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/listen-iu-basketball-class-of-2022-point-guard-target-avery-brown-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  12. He reclassified down to 2022, and he is going to have a huge role the next two years on what is a very good prep school team. I think it was a good sign that he indicated IU was pushing hard still because Bruiser was his point man.
  13. I talked to C.J. a week ago. Here is his story. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2022-guard-c-j-gunn-finishes-aau-season-strong-hearing-from-iu-regularly/
  14. Final NBA 2019-20 stats and trends for the nine Hoosiers that saw the floor this year. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/hoosiers-in-the-nba-2019-20-end-of-season-stats-and-trends/
  15. You can listen to DGL talk about his freshman season, IU, and more. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/listen-iu-basketball-2023-in-state-recruiting-target-dra-gibbs-lawhorn-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  16. Caught up with Logan over the weekend. He is making the best of a summer he wasn't expecting. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-class-of-2021-commit-logan-duncomb-trying-to-make-best-of-disappointing-summer/
  17. Brown's progression is going to be very interesting to watch. Miller went out of character and offered someone unproven early. But usually when he is early on someone he is right. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2022-point-guard-avery-brown-has-a-big-time-breakout-coming/?
  18. Indiana offered the east coast PG today. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-class-of-2022-names-to-know-avery-brown/
  19. I suspect it is Thornton, Holloman, Walker, Smith and Comer in that order. With still two years of high school left, obviously much can change.
  20. Latest 247 rankings for the players that I know IU has had some level of contact with. Also interesting to note that all 3 top in-state PGs are not ranked right now -- Walker, Comer, Smith. Still a long way to go there. I expect one will emerge. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-where-indianas-targets-and-prospects-landed-in-247sports-class-of-2022-rankings/
  21. Thanks for sharing. 6-6 incoming sophomore with the body of a high school senior. Talks to Archie regularly and plenty of IU connections. Seems like a clear top-100 talent.
  22. Podcast here with Braden. Just your classic Indiana kid that loves the game. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/listen-iu-basketball-2022-in-state-recruiting-target-braden-smith-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  23. The only way I think of Hulls and Smith in the same light is when it comes to being undersized -- and how that impacts their recruitment. Jordy was sending out film to coaches before he finally started getting some good offers. Smith is a true PG, Jordy a true SG. Smith has better handles and is a better passer. Jordy was a better shooter. That was his elite skill that ultimately got him offers. If Smith truly gets to 6-1 or taller, he will blow up.
