  1. Not since 1946 has IU had 3 returning All-Americans on its roster. Their individual goals this spring align well with a team also coming off a very strong season. “We got a lot more that we can accomplish." https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/indianas-all-americans-still-have-lofty-goals-for-2021/
  2. “We got off the phone and me and my parents were like, ‘He’s (Tom Allen) an amazing guy. That’s who I want to play for.’ It was amazing." @DustinDopirak on how Kaiden Turner quickly knew #iufb was the right place for him. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/kaiden-turner-was-sure-about-indiana-from-the-beginning/
  3. Arkansas based 3-star LB. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-recruiting-2022-linebacker-kaiden-turner-commits-to-indiana/
  4. Officially from IU I've only seen reference to Zoom meetings for the media. I've heard chatter of some media attendance but I think that is still TBD.
  5. If you want to know what is going on with Karaban, here it is. I spoke with him earlier this week. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2022-forward-alex-karaban-talks-development-recruitment-and-indiana/
  6. 247Sports is pushing their staff to make CB picks right now and then write articles about them. This is when the CB is a complete gimmick. It is worth noting when a kid is announcing in a week and several staff members make a CB pick at the same time, but not now. Karaban is nowhere near a decision. All of these CB picks right now are guesses.
  7. No, Penix is not changing positions. I kid, I kid. Nothing comes to mind on position changes. I agree that with Ball back perhaps Fitz could move, but I thought he moved to husky before Ball was injured. I could be misremembering the timing. In any event the most likely changes are in the DB group, as always. Usually if there are changes they tend to surface during spring practice.
  8. Allen has said he'll be ready for week one vs. Iowa. I am sure someone will ask during spring practice whether he is still on track for that.
  9. Tom Allen: Indiana can't fall into that trap of believing it has arrived. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/tom-allen-indiana-cant-fall-into-that-trap-of-believing-it-has-arrived/
  10. More background on Ward here if you are interested. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-2022-small-forward-tyrell-ward/
  11. If podcasts are your thing you can hear CJ on the Hoosier Experience. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/hoosier-sounds-new-iu-basketball-2022-commit-cj-gunn-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  12. Thanks for signing up and reading. All credit goes to Dustin Dopirak on that story, and of course Jack Keefer.
  13. He coached Montross and Leary, Oden and Conley, and many other greats along the way. See what Lawrence North legend Jack Keefer had to say about new IU basketball commit CJ Gunn. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/coachs-take-lawrence-north-legend-jack-keefer-on-new-iu-basketball-commit-cj-gunn/
  14. I need to give that one more thought. I know he is best friends with D'Ante Davis, but I don't get any sense that he is trying to get him to decommit from Louisville.
  15. Caught up with Gunn and his father this morning. Here is that Q&A. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-qa-with-new-class-of-2022-indiana-commit-c-j-gunn/
  16. An update on 2022 guard Rodney Rice, and a new name to know, his teammate Tyrell Ward. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-have-attention-of-dematha-star-rodney-rice-watching-his-4-star-teammate/
  17. Eight Hoosiers with NBA organizations to start the 2020-21 season. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/pro-hoosiers-eight-former-iu-basketball-stars-with-nba-organizations-to-start-2020-21-season/
  18. Just keep Mile's spirit living on. That is exactly what he would want.
  19. No offer from IU after some big some moments this summer. They are watching and still talking to him. Remember IU didn't offer Leal and Galloway until after their junior seasons and some early spring AAU action. I think we are in that same patient wait and see mode here. BTW, He is definitely not 5-9 and not 6-1. I've stood right next to him. My guess would be 5-11.
  20. We caught up with Gibbs-Lawhorn on his recruitment, transfer and injury. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-qa-with-2023-in-state-guard-dravyn-gibbs-lawhorn-on-rehab-recruiting-transfer/
  21. Reed with thoughts on IU and his recruitment. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-2022-forward-tarris-reed-talks-indiana-offer-and-recruitment/
  22. More background if you are interested. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-recruiting-hoosiers-offer-class-of-2022-top-100-forward-tarris-reed/
  23. Attucks' Jalen Hooks went in depth with out podcast partner, The Hoosier Experience. https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/hoosier-sounds-iu-basketball-2023-in-state-recruiting-target-jalen-hooks-on-the-hoosier-experience-podcast/
  24. As you can tell with guys like Leal, Galloway, Kaufman, Geronimo, etc, Archie puts a premium on high character, high academic kids. Jalen Washington is in that category, has a major that lines up with IU, and has a good early relationship with the program. Can the Hoosiers pull the first kid out of Gary to Bloomington in 60 years? https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-basketball-class-of-2022-in-state-5-star-jalen-washington-on-rehab-recruiting-and-upcoming-season/
