Everyone thought it the Hysterics hurt IU when in fact the kid actually listened to them about Illinois

He needed to move if he wanted to be prepared to play at the college level. He went to middle school at Liberty Christian and although they are a somewhat talented 1A team they don't exactly run a whole lot or push kids in a way that is needed to be ready to play in college.

I don't blame him one bit for moving schools given the situation he would've been in had he stayed.

Weaver put in a CB for Myles Jackson earlier today too which is interesting since he was visiting this week

IU has quietly been in the mix even though Nebraska was getting all the hype the last few days. I don’t think he ends up at IU but I like that they are working to try and get him

I heard he might be visiting sometime this week and then Weaver just said he'd heard the same. If he visits we'll see what happens.

Calzada is my #1 target at this point.

Had a feeling Bazelak would be visiting. Hadn't heard Phommachanh mentioned prior to today so that is interesting. Interesting that they are different types of QB's as well. Calzada could still be in the mix as well.

He should have 2 I think. Redshirt in 2019, played in 2020 and 2021.

The only transfer QB’s that I know IU has had contact with that are still available are Casey Thompson, Cameron Ward, Zach Calzada, and Connor Bazelak. Emory Jones still hasn’t officially entered the portal and I don’t know that he would actually be a target even if he did.

Some of you need to relax. No coach was going to come in and fix everything in a single season. Let things play out and see if we make the tournament before everyone starts jumping off a cliff. The constant negativity is exhausting if this team loses a ton of conference games then fine but until then everyone needs to relax and give Woody the chance he deserves.

You can’t win when your best player is a big. That’s why typically Purdue and other B1G teams choke in the tournament. Purdues exceptions came with Edward's and this year with Ivey “potentially”. IU lacks athleticism and playmakers like you said. That will change moving forward as younger guys on the roster develop and incoming players make it to campus. Until then it could be a roller coaster but I do expect IU to get some quality wins during conference play.

The problem isn’t X’s and O’s it’s Jimmies and Joes. This team doesn’t have the athleticism and playmaking to win consistently. That will take a year or 2 to fix. I’m confident this team will get some wins to bolster the resume in the conference.

There’s a few names that have been tossed around. 4 college transfers and 1 HS kid that IU has had some communication with. Let’s see what happens here soon with the transfers because guys will need to start making decisions before second semester starts.
