  1. I think IU needs to find another post player for the 2021 class or a transfer with multiple years like Brunk. I’m not counting Kaufman or Patterson. TJD and Brunk will likely be gone and Thompson will be a senior. So another post is greatly needed. That said another scholarship will need to open up.
  2. IU currently has 2 open scholarships for 2021. Give me two of Aminu, Kaufman, and Patterson and that’d be incredible. If we took another option like Wesley or someone else I’d be happy about that too if IU missed on Aminu but I still think Wesley goes to ND.
  3. The spring game is coming up plus the B1G tournament and IHSAA regionals are this week. I’m sure there is a lot of stuff they’ll be doing with that.
  4. He’s a 6’2 So averaging 10 ppg. We played them early in the season but I don’t recall him being that impressive but I’ll go back and check our stats tomorrow.
  5. His wingspan is abnormally long for his height which is why he plays bigger than 5’10. He’s likely not finished growing and that’s a telling sign to me is the wingspan.
  6. Rivals still has him at 6'8. He's now 6'9 and could easily get to 6'10.
  7. Ah the Greenfield Central game. That was a real gem of officiating.
  8. In the NFL if a team isn't bought in to try and win I don't blame players for not wanting to be there. Especially with the average career being pretty short and the physical beating the players take.
  9. Well now it's coming out that several teams have Herbert higher rated that Burrow. I wonder if that's possibly the Bengals floating that out there since they might be looking at other options since Burrow doesn't seem bought in to make him sound more justifiable if they'd pick him instead.
  10. Smith is going to grow. I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up about 6’3. His wingspan is abnormally long for a 5’10 kid.
  11. Well I didn’t hear it that way at all. He basically said it’s either start him or get rid of him. Those algorithms the guy uses are the same ones that Brad Stevens used at Butler and with the Celtics. I think if I was Archie I’d start using them but he doesn’t so whatever.
  12. I would say that it could. That way those players know they aren't going to be a 5 and that's apparently what they want.
  13. So @btownqb is clearly hearing this information from someone very close to the situation. Who or what kind of source exactly are you hearing your information from?
  14. It can be worked out in the players contracts. Amir Garrett played a year or two of basketball at Saint John's after getting drafted and signing with the Reds.
  15. We’ll see plenty of time for things to change. It may be something that the kid decides he wants to go to college regardless. He sure as heck wouldn’t be the first. We’ll find out in a year and a half I guess.
  16. Here’s the deal with the MLB draft. •Teams only have so much they can spend on draft picks. So they don’t always draft the most talented player. They will take a few of talented high school kids or draft eligible juniors and sophomores and then draft, JUCO, or high school seniors that they can sign below slot value to save money. PBR has Montgomery ranked 75th amongst high school players. That means he likely won’t get drafted in the top 5 rounds. So he will likely benefit from going to school.
  17. That’s not accurate at all.
  18. Not as low as you’d think. He’s good but baseball drafting is more than that especially with drafting high school kids. He probably doesn’t get drafted until rounds 5-10 at the earliest. He would benefit from going to college at that point much like Zack Thompson did.
  19. The biggest issue with playing baseball and basketball in college is that the seasons overlap to much.
  20. Yes Whitt has an IU offer but nothing connecting him to IU since the offer. The Juco PG was looked at by the staff and they could still be watching but he doesn’t have an IU offer so it doesn’t sound serious. Grad Transfer is the most likely option but that won’t be looked at until the season is over unless they get involved with some unforeseen high school kid between now and then.
  21. No. The option is on the table for Lander to reclassify to the 2020 class but that is it.
  22. Payton Sparks from Winchester was there as well sitting next Shawn Phillips.
  23. It’s a slim chance he goes first round. There’s so much that goes into the MLB draft that’s differed than other drafts and it’s to early to project. That’s said I would expect him to go in the top 5 rounds at least.
