  1. How do you know KP is smarter than that? The Pacers likely aren’t in a spot to make a deal for him but who says that they wouldn’t if he could.
  2. He is known for being a creative offensive mind and was part of using Jokic as a focal point of the Nuggets offense in his 2nd season in the league.
  3. Yes, it can be. He's not projected to go in the first 3 rounds. That said can his draft stock go up? Of course but it might not if there are already rumors he won't sign. That happens every year were guys fall in the draft or don't get picked at all because they are set on going to school. Look at Jack Leiter at Vanderbilt as an example of that.
  4. This will all be dependent on what kind of players fit the new coaches style. I think there will be a few teams lining up to make a trade for Vic and Turner this offseason because the free agent class isn't great.
  5. He’s not projected to go that high at this point in time.
  6. Very true. I still think he ends up at IU.
  7. I know but the preparation is a little different today than it was back then. Not to mention do you think a college baseball coach would want a kid to miss 2 months of the season because the basketball team made the NCAA tournament. That's the problem. College baseball starts in February. Not to mention you miss a ton of practice time trying to play basketball. It's much more possible if you are a bullpen pitcher than a position player.
  8. I know Ainge played professional baseball and basketball. Garrett played minor league baseball and college basketball. Playing minor league baseball and college basketball would almost be easier than college baseball and college basketball based on the way the seasons line up. It's hard to do especially for a position player and that's my point with Montgomery.
  9. All this scholarship talk is interesting Colson wasn't going to play both unless something crazy happens. That would be a major risk to him as a baseball player and his development.
  10. AG never played college baseball. He was drafted out of high school and played college basketball while playing minor league baseball for a couple of seasons.
  11. I'd put that as being very unlikely. The only people I could see thinking that are locals at Southridge that don't understand the overlap issue. I can see why Tracy Smith, Michael Earley, and Bobby Hurley tried it. I could see a pitcher try and pull it off but a SS is a whole different story.
  12. Low ball offers??? Sabonis out (hurt)? The rumors around indy are that the cohesion problem is guys on the team having problems with Vic having one foot out the door. That's why they can't wait until the trade deadline to trade him like some people suggest the Pacers should do.
  13. He had some good moves but he also had some really bad. He didn't ever do much via trade or free agency other than West and then Ellis who was washed up. Larry was a great player, really good coach, and an ok gm.
  14. That was also Larry in charge then too who didn't ever look to make any kind of splashy move.
  15. I wouldn't go into the luxary tax either if the team wasn't close to title contention which they really haven't been.
  16. That is to be expected that D'Antoni would get a second interview. That said I haven't seen it reported anywhere. I would expect the final 5 or 6 candidates who get second interviews to include D'Antoni, Billups, Ham, Bjorkgren, and (Quinn or Craig or maybe both). Dave Joerger and Chris Finch are also in the mix. Woj just called Joerger a strong candidate in the process.
  17. You're wrong about some of that. I know Pritchard said it was his decision but there were to many people saying that Simon was tired of first round exits and wanted Nate gone. If the Pacers would be close to a championship I suspect Simon would pay the tax for a year or maybe two but the roster hasn't been to that point.
  18. Similar yes but there is a difference and it's the most important. Vic was still in the building and working in the weight room as recently as yesterday. That said he could still be on the move if the front office sees it's the right move.
  19. PG didn't. He did however lie to Pritchard and say he wanted to stay and then a week later demanded a trade. This is a whole different situation.
  20. At least he did his best to squash them. He said he's focused on staying in the background, working out, continue with his rehab, and get right for next season.
  21. Vic has finally commented on the trade talk. He stated on his instagram that "I'm a Pacer" and that he doesnt know where the rumors originated from.
  22. Minny is a team I could see interested in Vic. If you get Culver that's great. As for Hayword if we trade Turner for him then either Lamb or McDermott will have to be included to match salary and then their will need to be other rotation players added to the bench. I also think Justin Holliday should be brought back for the bench as well if possible.
  23. I think you'll be surprised. The national guys are getting their information from somewhere.
  24. The Pacers if they want could add Gordon Hayword this offseason or next. I think he could get back to all star form when he isn't the 4th or 5th option. Word is he is open to coming home. He is building a house in Fishers currently as well. Other than him the Pacers have got to find ways to get draft picks or young players and actually develop those players which Nate McMillan refused to do. To go with that my prediction for this coming year is that if the right coach is hired TJ Leaf will become an impactful bench stretch 4 at least. Nate never gave him any time to develop and it showed.
  25. I get that and pretty much ever person who has said the Celtics have interest in trading for Turner and giving up Hayword has said the Celtics would have to include draft capital or young assets. That said it's all speculation at this point and as many as 10 teams or more are interested in Turner alone.
