Good point. The West has been deeper and better for so long but you knew it wouldn’t be forever. There are some rising teams bubbling up big time in the East. This switch could flip sooner than later. Philadelphia. Boston. Milwaukee. Watch out.

Blackmon should go to the G league and try to be like Seth Curry. I haven’t been bullish on Blackmon as an NBA player for a variety of reasons but I’m rooting for him. You can’t blame him for following his dream.

Whoa, I hadn't heard that. Interesting. OKC's Sam Presti makes a big move. I wonder how the chemistry will work out.

I think the IU fan base gave up on Stevens as a realistic option 2-3 years ago, and practically no one mentioned his name as we got Archie. But, the clamoring back in the day was justified. I always liked Larry in the 80's but the Celtics are hardly my team. When you take into account what he has had to work with, Stevens is probably the best at coaching any sport, any level. Smart, knows how to handle players, great tactician, no dysfunction (which is practically a miracle by NBA ego standards). I have never heard a peep of any bad thing said about Stevens by anyone. It's remarkable that we have not heard of any disgruntled player going after him, etc. He's obviously highly respected in all circles.
As far as the East, it is going to be very interesting to see how things develop. Regardless of Stevens, I am not sure that Philly isn't the organization with the highest upside in the longer term, if Embiid's feet and legs can hold up consistently. And the Greek Freak has potential to be the best player in the league. It's insane what he can do. Big time players get calls in the playoffs.
