  1. Kawhi is stronger than Giannis..especially in his base..and he also has a 7’3 wingspan...it doesn’t negate the height but Giannis is not going to win posting up Kawhi. Let’s be real...Kawhi with his wingspan and hand size etc was the freak before the Greek came along...he just is wiser and more Wiley too. The advantage is Kawhi is limited with his mobility...so the key would be to run him all over the court and wear him out chasing off screens etc...Toronto needs Kawhi scoring more than even the Bucks need Giannis. Bucks should win it out because of their shooting and home court but I would not want to face Kawhi in a game 7...nope.
  2. I would move Giannis off the ball. Run him off screens or use him in pick n roll and try to get him the ball around the elbow...he could have mismatches but at worse would be a dribble away from getting to the rim. It would loosen up the defense, create mismatches, if you try to help off it opens up 3s for Mirotic and Lopez but it gets people out of position when guarding him and allows him to use his length and athleticism to get an easy jumper in the lane or drive to the rim. Whatever the case iso at the top of the key against Leonard the guy that basically shut down Lebron...yeah not smart.
  3. I’m going to say this about GS...I think this adversity with Boogie and then KD going down was actually a good thing for them...they were playing with no passion...like robot mode and this woke them up and they thrived with the challenge because they haven’t been challenged all year. Now if Durant comes back it will be a challenge for him to show why he was needed and they may get his best version too!
  4. They may have to rename that 30-30 called winning time...they just won’t quit.
  5. GS is impressive like them or not..they just are winners. Defense is under rated and you just can’t estimate how much spirit they have. Even with out Andre tonight. Wow!
  6. Good coaching and surrounded by a team full of good shooters...he is put in a perfect position to just do what he does best...but yes he is taking advantage of his opportunity and perhaps playing some of his best basketball.
  7. I’m surprised any of the major sports test for recreational drugs..figured just PEDs. Trust me I’m not in support of any recreational drug use but at this point it seems late to put that genie in the bottle so why these sports chase after their athletes doing them is beyond me. Seems to me keeping them in their job and around those that can help and hold them accountable (teams) is the best way to fight it. Shove them out of their job and it seems it would push them further into usage. I could understand taking action if they get in legal trouble as a result but to just be chasing after them seems over kill.
  8. Man...GS you can tell knows they are so much better than Portland...crazy...without Durant and with a lesser bench they play so beautifully because if you over help on shooters they back cut you to death. Finals will be interesting if Milwaukee makes it.
  9. That first four would be wonderful!! Add them to our core and Leal/Galloway and it would be a home run class lol. Sadly I doubt we could land all four.
  10. Our scholarship grid looks like we should have another potential for a huge class in 21 with several openings available. With all these names amongst some other national prospects could be another mega class like the Rob/Romeo one.
  11. You can take that whole group and maybe win a championship maybe by their junior or senior year. Doesn’t even have Luke Brown on that list either. Loaded class.
  12. I honestly thought he would go to UCLA. Be interesting to see who coaches the Lakers...might as well let Lebron do it...he runs everything every other spot.
  13. I know he re-signed last year with us because his wife liked having her kids growing up here and they were tired of moving. Perhaps the stability will outweigh a larger contract else where....I feel like the Pacers have a pretty loyal front office and they like Thad...after all he has had expiring contracts back to back years and we've not moved him even though he is exactly the type of player that puts a title contender over the top come playoff time.
  14. Love this kid....can we get a couple more for next year's team!
  15. I understand...but our window is in like a couple years....Thad isn't going to help us then. He has been a wonderful teammate though no doubt!
  16. Any reason the Pacers didn't move Darren Collison or Thad Young who don't really fit our future time table and would be excellent pickups for a playoff team this year? I guess we hope to hold on to a playoff spot and sell a some tickets instead of investing in building a young core around Victor, Turner, and Sabonis.
  17. LOL....I knew that was a troll job!! Good ol Lavar!
  18. You do not have 1 top 50 player in the NBA maybe (100) outside of Lebron. No reason Pelicans would want any of those players...and the draft picks would be trash because obviously any team with Lebron and AD would be a playoff team and late first rd picks. Same reason Indy wouldn't trade PG to the Lakers....they can get a much better return elsewhere. It's Lakers own fault they made bad draft picks when they sucked. I would trade him to the Eastern Conference to a team like the Celtics who have multiple first rd picks from the Grizzlies, Kings, Clippers and their own plus legitimate future stars in Tatum and Brown and starters in Smart and Horford they could throw. We've seen what Ingram, Kuzma, Ball and others will get you....just a bunch of L's like last year.
  19. Good. Lakers offering some trash for a top 5 player in the league...hope he ends like PG13 and gets traded somewhere else and re-signs there.
  20. Thomas Bryant quietly having a good season when he gets minutes. Double double last night 26pts and 14 boards. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/fantasy/basketball/news/wizards-thomas-bryant-big-double-double-in-milwaukee/amp/
  21. Oh no doubt having equity in a house is a good thing just there are many situations renting etc is a better incestement. No taxes, often don’t pay utilities, less expenses for maintenance, no interest on a loan, cheaper insurance, and not tied to a property when you don’t how long you will be in a given area. If you put those savings into investments they could likely give you a better return then the equity of the house unless you are fortunate to buy a hot property. As for Yogi this I think will be a better opportunity for him. He has had a very productive run in Dallas and I think he will make a nice career back up no matter where he goes. Great accomplishment for a kid with limited size and athleticism.
  22. I don’t know why any NBA player of his caliber buy a house until after his playing days are done. Just rent or lease a condo downtown close to the arena/practice facility. Your on the road so much and then during the summer you can go anywhere. Unless your an established player that is older with family or not likely to be traded or making 8 figures you can wait til after your playing days to buy.
