  1. And someone else will buy them instantly. If you liked the Colts during Peyton’s time and you should like Ballard. He has the same approach as Polian in paying his own that fit our system and building the team by targeting players that fit our system. Like him or not Ballard has a philosophy and he has stuck too it. That is the sign of a man that is comfortable in his job, isn’t going to overreach or make stupid rash decisions. The Irsay family loves him. Like it or not he isn’t going anywhere.
  2. We are set up to take anyone we like. BPA. Which is good. We can take a tackle (think Smith could be transitioned off soon because his salary and age) we can take corner, we can take DL, we can take TE. I will almost lay money we trade back though. That is our MO. Buffalo might move up for a WR in our range…KC could as well…I could also see Philly moving up for an elite corner around our pick up too. IMO those are teams to watch for a trade if we do. All said though we are in a really good spot for a possible top 10 blue chip talent to fall to us because of the qb situation this year.
  3. Not too be too graphic but if you are putting your “ball” in the hole…I hate to tell you that your not doing right. Try putting the other “equipment” in the hole…you’ll thank me later!! 😉
  4. I would love to have 40% 3pt shooters across the board but if my point guard is elite at breaking down the defense and finishing off the dribble or finding shooters…guard his position..and has high basketball IQ…sign me up. You can surround him with some shooters (if you go this route you need to have a hella of shooter at the other guard spot. He definitely has handles and great vision…shot needs to get tighter but like I said…coach him up on good shot selection and partner him with a great pick n roll partner and couple of shooters…he will be fine.
  5. I’m just excited to see this team run by a new point guard. XJ had some moments but they were too few and far between. Hoping we add a dynamic guard in the portal and we get to see how this horse runs with a new jockey sitting a top.
  6. Early on you could tell he was in shell shock from the speed, physicality, and his lack of awareness. He couldn’t stick to his man if he was wearing Velcro. Second half things slowed down…he found his feet…started to learn to play a little defense and the light clicked in his head.
  7. Everyone is beatable. I just think UConn offense is and ability to score 1-5 with their size is only team able to give Purdue problems…at least left in the tourney.
  8. I think UConn is the only team left in the tournament that can beat Purdue…and even then it’s going to depend how the refs call it. Tennessee has nothing for them they’ve already shown that this year and Duke Nc St don’t have the size. Hard to decide who to root for. UConn who is replacing us as a blue blood or Purdue who will make this board insufferable. I have to say probably Purdue though…that should be the slap in the face the university needs to wake up and right the ship and stop allowing them to own the state and our players.
  9. I see this all the time with young players. It’s important to play them with strong veterans and strong players…that way they aren’t the needing to be the focal point of the offense when they come in with the second unit. Allows them to let the game come to them. We also lose leads and struggle to find consistent scoring off the bench…Galloway was a much better shooter and more effective player coming off the bench. He will be 18 and while I wish we had guys older and better to start…at this point the roster doesn’t have many options.
  10. Gotta get there. But tourney really rewarded UConn and Purdue. Put them super close to home all the way to the final four…and gave them teams in their bracket that they’ve either beat before or matched up well with. It was a good draw for both.
  11. Your best hope is to make Edey beat you and lock down the shooters. Attack them at the rim and hit timely 3s….but you gotta attack them off the dribble. No one they’ve played yet have the players to give them issue. Sure say Alabama or some hot shooting 3 pt team could beat them but otherwise you need huge size to guard Edey 1-1 and athleticism to expose their guards.
  12. That last play right there is how you attack Edey…get into his body…don’t shy away.
  13. UConn matches up well with them. Teams like UNC and Kentucky did as well. Not many do.
  14. Well to obviously if someone has a hot game from 3…but Gonzaga doesn’t shoot the 3 well. I suppose if Creighton had a lights out game maybe but all things equal none in the bracket matched up well.
  15. I didn’t see any team matching up well in their bracket. There were some other teams in the tournament that I thought could beat them but not in their bracket. They will be in the final four. Told everyone Gonzaga had no shot.
  16. I swear the Gonzaga kids reaction was the same as Lokis… RIP #0 need to put a little cross in the paint so everyone can remember him as they drive by for a layup.
  17. Just can’t keep having those early deficits that we have to dig out of. I think all our losses this year happened that way. But a great game and maybe the closest SC will have the rest of the way.
  18. Personally…I’d rather start him and let him play off more skilled guys that will take the pressure off. I’d bring in Galloway off the bench to be that energy spark plug and initiate offense in the second unit who will benefit from his play making ability. Won’t happen but that’s what I would like to see.
  19. Could be a flash back to 1980 for Clemson/Purdue.
  20. Dynamic point guard…couple shooters and back up big/rim protector.
  21. Yep GS should have transitioned off Draymond and Klay and never added Paul. If they wanted another window with Steph they should have full on tore it down after their championship and definitely last year for a quick reload.
  22. It’s also about being in the right situation….playing in GS is a bigs dream….the spacing and attention that Curry, Thompson and company provide…the vision of Paul…helps him tremendously. Trayce fits the pro game much better than banging in the B1G with 7’0 280 centers night in and out playing back to basket. He plays well facing up and in space where he can use his athleticism.
  23. Yep…no doubt the playing time and money we could offer played a huge roll in us jumping in on this one. To me this is less about Coach Woodson and it’s purely being IU and the current empty roster that landed this kid.
