We can’t KEEP shooting ourselves in the foot and expect to close the gap

It appears we continue to show the signs of a team that will fix their mistakes and become a potential final four caliber team OR we won’t and we’ll struggle to be even near middle of the pack in conference

I could care less about height at the PG position. At all. If opposing teams struggle to stay in front of him and creates mismatches, if he can shoot, if he can get to the rim, if he plays good defense, has handles, doesn’t turn the ball over, has a good basketball IQ…you have enough of these boxes checked and sign me up. PARTICULARLY because at his height it’s likely he’s a 3-4 year player even if he puts up great stats and wins. Does anyone here think this team wouldn’t IMMEDIATELY be better if Yogi Ferrell was on the floor???

This drives me nuts watching it. It is utterly pointless

We aren’t rebuilt yet. When we are there are NO more horrible seasons. Bad seasons are 8-10th in the conference. We are never sniffing .500 EVER. So yes get it rebuilt Woodson but he’d agree IU needs to be darn similar to the other top 5-10 Blue Bloods.

Only bad thing is I FEEL these guys are dipping into thinking they can put the screws down and pull out a game in the last 8-10min or less. If that is true and doesn’t change we gonna lose a TON of road games.

3/4 of the time our perimeter defense looks like they have a scouting report to let the guy shoot until he proves he’s on a roll. I don’t get it.

I’d agree at least so far. Guess we’ll see how the season plays out. If Ware’s potential is true, and he underachieved greatly last year, it’s not inconceivable for him to hit his stride and really start growing as a player quickly. Hope he does because if he becomes truly worthy of a mid first round pick and others improve AND they develop chemistry, then this team could be really something by season’s end.

Again I voted Ware but I get the arguments. The game isn’t just about stats

I voted aware because the stats are concrete and without Payton we lose without Ware. But Cupps had things you can’t measure that turned the tied. And it seemed everyone raised their game as he did. I can’t fathom a freshman becoming a key leader on a team but we’ll have to see. Watching body language I sense Ware looks at Cupps already as a leader for him at least.
