  1. I'm thinking @Coach Shep struggles with "rates" and shouldn't apply for a mortgage any time soon...
  2. I personally think China views Putin as their stooge to see how much the west will tolerate before they start sabre rattling...
  3. I don't know who picks the FoW... Both Branham and McGowans made 3rd team All Big 10, so apparently it was close...McGowans scored more per game and and had better rebound numbers, but shot it at a lower percentage. Branham had the advantage of playing on a better team. Both pretty good talents I'd have on my team any day...
  4. Totally different usage profile though... I can't pull a horse trailer or haul hay in an affordable EV truck. Around where I live, everybody has a truck, and many of them use them to make their living... I do get it, and I want us to eventually get there, but we have to be fair to those people and we cannot put ourselves at an economic or military disadvantage trying to get there too quickly.
  5. Bryce McGowans was B10 FoW 8 times... Branham was FoW 3 times ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  6. How does Malik Hall get Honorable Mention with 10 ppg and 5 rpg over Race at 13 and 8?

  8. Wow...Malaki Branham wins Big 10 Freshman of the Year over Bryce McGowans...
  9. I understand what you're saying about overall team defense, but if we're going to give players credit for doing a good defensive job on a certain player, we should certainly defend a player when someone he's not assigned to guard has a good shooting night...
  10. XJ wasn't assigned to guard Houstan...
  11. 5 billion years will pass in the blink of an eye!
  12. Ah, you're not fooling us! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. The Ukrainian civilians are the ones footing the bill right now, and even the slightest escalation will drive that bill up...
  14. Well, it's going to escalate the conflict... Believe me, I'm not a war monger by any stretch of the imagination...I don't think anyone who's spent any time in the military is... But if you've seen the heart breaking video of Russian troops shelling civilians simply trying to get out, you can't help but feel we have to intervene and stop this madman... And this is possibly a start...
  15. Keep hope...there was a beautiful calico female cat here when we moved in 10 years ago...she adopted us... About 4 years ago, after Hurricane Harvey, she disappeared...gone 3 months...we thought she had somehow died during the storm.. Three months later I'm walking across the pasture on a Sunday morning, and she runs up beside me, gives me her "I'm hungry" meow, and acts like nothing happened... She's still around and likes sitting on my wife's saddle...
  16. Yeah, saw clarification...Ukraine wants Poland's archaic MIG 29 (80s era) because they have pilots who can fly them. We in turn sell F-16s (another 80s era fighter) to Poland...
  17. You did use big10.org and not big10.com right? If you used the latter, you might get some autographed pictures...
  18. Weren't you the one complaining about some Purdue game from days of yore where, in your estimation the Boilers got a screwing on foul discrepancies (no matter what the circumstances, in my humble opinion it was justified ๐Ÿ˜)?
  19. I think you're in Brownstown and I'm in Houston...๐Ÿ˜
  20. Missed on Illinois, hit on Michigan, and nobody got Wisconsin right... Of course all of my predictions were before the season even started...unlike you who waited til the preseason was over...how bold... And the pick I'm most embarrassed about is picking Curbelo as a break out player for the Illini... Underwood keeps running him out there you guys won't last long...
  21. I watched him play in his back from injury game a couple of months back for Montverde, and he was rusty, but you could see the talent... I like being deep at guard, but I think he'd find minutes hard to come by with us depending on who we have coming back...
  22. The McGowans kid reminds me a lot of Crawford...probably last as long at Nebraska as Jamal did with the Wolverines too...
  23. I've resigned myself to Coach Woodson's way of thinking... There are no "gimmes" in the Big 10. You have to face who's on the schedule the next game, bad matchup or not. We play well on both ends and we'll win...
  24. About to get a whole lot more interesting Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Sunday that NATO members have the go-ahead to send fighter jets to Ukraine as the U.S. and allies continue their efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia's invasion. "That gets a green-light," Blinken said"
