  1. And going further, when Iraq invaded Kuwait did the world take action? Yes they did...
  2. Where else in the world is a top 3 military invading another sovereign country?
  3. 😁 Yeah, but the Senior Night discussion is interesting too...big clue on who's coming back and who's staying I think... But there is the most important game of the season, too...
  4. We all know most of their cast... Baker and Harper are both streaky players that can step up at the end of a game and make big plays. They're experienced and tough... McConnell is one of the best defenders in the league. He leads the Big 10 in steals. His offense is a little inconsistent (27% from 3) but he's top shelf on the defensive end. Only Harper and Mulcahy shoot the 3 over 35%. Mulcahy is a big PG at 6'6 leads the league in assists, and likes to post up smaller defenders. The guy that worries me is Cliff Omoyuri. He's improved a lot from last year. Exactly the kind of defender Trayce has trouble with. 6'11, long arms, and athletic. He's not much on the offensive end, but they run an effective PnR between him and Mulcahy or Baker. This is going to be a very tough, physical game. I expect them to do a lot of woofing. We can win, but we need a tough defensive effort and effective offense. Race is the big mismatch for them, but Omoyuri is a rim protector so interior passing may be key... And I do think Steve Pikiell is a good coach...
  5. I was going to say the demands Russia puts forward will be so unreasonable that Ukraine won't be able to accept them. I'm actually expecting some sad and tragic "incident" to happen soon... I think Putin is past the point of no return...
  6. I think the "peace talks" are a sham. A CYA for the world to see... I think Putin is deranged and very dangerous at this point...
  7. I was thinking Stewart, simply because he's like 23, has been through a lot, and at times looks unhappy. He's also been sat down twice...and I think he's already got 2 masters degrees... Kopp was just a WAG...
  8. I've been in the grandstand shadows at Wrigley in early June and been cold...
  9. Purdue luvah! Hummel is ok...not the best, but get past the stench of West Lafayette he's not bad. 😁
  10. I thought both he and Benetti we're praying at the end of last night's game for IU to lose... But, maybe I'm just sensitive...that's my hook...my sensitivity 😁
  11. I hope not... Rutgers like to talk a lot... I want XJ focused on the job at hand...
  12. Last year with a lot of the same cast and crew on both sides we lost to them by 4 at home, 11 at the RAC, and 11 in the BTT...
  13. I was going to make the same point... These people have been dealing with the citizenry for years, and they have ears all over the place...communicating an organized uprising would be difficult and you're only gonna get one narrow shot at it... Hitler was an amateur compared to Stalin in suppressing dissent and disposing of the evidence...
  14. Especially with the well used Siberian Express still available...
  15. Loved that and Coach Woodson getting salty with Rob when he jacked up a 3 early in the shot clock with a 22 point lead... We've seen leads evaporate before with that mentality... You gotta play til the clock reads 0...
  16. He was on the climb before the suspension I thought...that set him back a bit, but now he's back on the rise...
  17. I think that may be right but I'm wondering how the matchups are going to work out... Rutgers only starts one guy over 6'7 (Omoyuri) but their shortest guy is 6'4 (Baker) I think XJ starts on Baker, and Stewart on Mulcahy...with Kopp drawing either McConnell or Harper (both tough matchups for him) and Race getting the other... We put Rob and XJ out there together, whichever one guards Mulcahy will get posted up. That's what they've done every time I've watched them and a smaller guard has taken Mulcahy on... I think Geronimo will get some time simply because Ron Harper Jr is made for him to guard...
  18. Rutgers is a team that likes to yak, and Baker and Harper are tough... McConnell and Mulcahy aren't any slouches either, and Cliff Omoyuri is just the kind of defender that gives Trayce trouble...long and athletic...not as good as Myles Johnson was for them last year, but damn close...
  19. Benetti and Hummel broke out the maroon and gold pom poms
