  1. Come on...different league. Not as physical... different supporting players as well... And they haven't won anything yet...
  2. I haven't seen anyone say "perfect." I'm an IU fan and I want us to win. Teams Al played on never even got to the tournament. Nothing personal against the kid, we're just not going to win big with his level of talent
  3. Stewart is a better 3 point shooter, and that's what a lot of you say we need, right? And he is at the very least Al's equal on the defensive end...Metrics bear that out... Al's FTs have gone up this year because he's getting calls he wasn't getting in the Big 10...There's no other explanation...He's only shooting 40%n from 2 and 20% from 3...Stewart certainly isn't much better from 2, but from 3, it's not even a contest...And once again, that's what people have been saying we need... And we have no idea if Al had been here whether it'd be The Windy City 6 or not... For those of you that think for some reason I'm hating on Al, I'm not...I said 3 years ago that if he was a starting guard for IU, we'd never sniff a Big 10 title, simply because of his physical limitations. Not hating, just the way I see it... I appreciate the years Al did spend here, and thank him for them...But to say we'd be appreciably better with him is not an opinion I share...
  4. Stewart isn't taking 3s? He's shot 22 more than Al has this year, and more importantly made 21 more...the percentages aren't even close... As far as going to the basket, I remember Al sprawled on the floor after throwing up a prayer and never getting the call in the Big 10...in the Big East he's apparently getting these calls as so far he's shot 73 more FTs than he did in his last year at IU...
  5. Reports that Putin put Russian Nuclear Forces on high alert are disturbing... I heard one of the experts say that this would probably be an option for him, going as far as to say using a low grade nuclear weapon on the battlefield would happen if Putin thought his invasion was in trouble...
  6. I don't quite understand the logic here... Our defense is one of the best in the Big 10...Al was never anything more than an adequate defender who regularly got beat off the dribble...he lacked the strength to compete with upper tier Big 10 guards...whose spot would he take? Certainly not XJs...And say what you want, but Parker Stewart is a slight upgrade on both ends of the floor...Al may have provided some depth, but not much more in my opinion Our issue has been consistent outside shooting, and Al is shooting worse than he ever did while he was here... I've watched a few Providence games, and I see the same Al I saw here for 4 year...does he have better teammates around him? I don't know. I do know the Big East top to bottom isn't as tough as the Big 10...
  7. They called him for 3 seconds too, which is a first...
  8. Found some really fresh, never frozen red snapper... blackened seasoning and grilled...it was awesome... I think I could get a job at Babin's 😁
  9. I understand... But if they can't, and Ukraine falls and he continues on, the rest of the world (sans China and Iran) will...
  10. It did take him a minute to weigh the odds, didn't it?
  11. You'd have been proud of Bo Borowski...he called a bogus foul on Davison and pointed right at the dirty SOB! 😉
  12. Means they have guys who hit big shots at crunch time...and it isn't just Davis and Davison...
  13. 4 seconds to go with a 5 point lead? There's no 5 point play...
  14. Caleb McConnell is winning the matchup with Johnny Davis
  15. Another great Big 10 game... Johnny Davis just willed one in...
  16. Bad news @Officer Obie! No worries though...I have a couple of fifths of T-Bird ESQ (Extra Special Quality 😉) to send if need be...
  17. But can the Russian people rein Putin in? He was KGB, so I would imagine he's got an ear close to the ground everywhere... And we know what happens to those who oppose him...
  18. Wisky up on Rutgers at Jersey Mike's Arena (now I'm craving a chipotle cheesesteak sub) by 9 at the break... Rutgers has held Johnny D to 4 points, but Davison (tee up for @Joe_Hoopsier 😁) and Chucky Hepburn have 11 and 10 points respectively.
  19. I agree with the "play on" definitely... Didn't see a hook and hold, but I don't have a replay available...their arms got tangled for a sec, but not a good either way as I saw it...
  20. And if I'm not mistaken DeJenette was the first African American to play on a state title winner... I have Herb Schwomeyer's book "Hoosier Hysteria" around here somewhere...
