  1. Don't want this to turn political at all, but in my opinion another madman is loose in Europe...
  2. I take solace in the fact that Ayden is way too smart to consider Purdue 😉
  3. The only thing that's sadder is... We're the "1" in that 1-5...
  4. Songkran isn't too far from that Choongman Chicken (which I haven't been able to try yet, but it's on the list) you went to over on Houston's west side...you get down this way again try Songkran out...
  5. I don't know, they have Mango Tree Thai Bistro, Houston as the best in Texas...Been there...Songkran Thai Kitchen is much, much better... The beef short ribs are the best!
  6. XJ did a good job on him last time on the defensive end...Whenever we tried someone else, including Lander, he blew right by them...
  7. Yeah, but Curbelo's on there too, so what do they know... And no Johnny Davis...
  8. Maryland has a kid named Fatts Russell, so we're all ok
  9. That's true but if you're a kid like Houstan, who has struggled a bit in college ball, you have to look at where you'll be drafted too, or if you're going to be drafted at all...Before his freshman year, he was more highly rated on draft boards than he is now... If he went today and went say #30, his rookie contract is going to guarantee about $4 million over 3 years according to this scale. If he goes back to Michigan for one more year and can improve into the top 10, he can almost triple that...
  10. Izzo got one last night in Iowa when the Spartans were getting it kicked...
  11. I don't know...I read what he allegedly posted and it was disturbing...Looking at his other content (I know on twitter it's tweets, but TikTok? TiTos? ) it kinda showed me a confused kid...Most of it about girls/love...Those are tough waters to navigate for an 18 year old kid...
  12. Finished the 4 part "Muhammad Ali" documentary... One of the most celebrated, complex lives ever...Not the perfect human being (who is?) but a story about the American Dream, civil rights, religious freedom, and courage. Well worth the 8 hours... Link
  13. Awesome, but who in the hell are those last 2 guys?
  14. Any word on Galloway, Phinisee or Lander? I like our chances too, but I like them better if we're not having to use Parker Stewart as a back-up PG and have some overall depth at guard...
  15. The most coveted grad transfer/transfers have at least played against college competition, so I think you do have a better gauge on how they'll perform. Sure, star types aren't the norm, but you do see them out there...Johnny Juzang comes to mind... You can also get kids like Jamison Battle and Payton Willis (Minnesota) who I think would have looked good on our team. Both kids who shoot north of 37% from 3 and can get their own shot. You can get some solid pieces too...Look at Michigan last year with Chaundee Brown and Mike Smith... And look what the Plummer kid is doing for Illinois... So I wouldn't dismiss it...we need guards and wings that can shoot...And there will be those types from mid-majors looking to get into a P6 school, or there will be P6 school kids looking for more playing time... Experience does win in our league...
  16. Iowa is 11-22 from 3...Kris Murray thinks he's playing us...
  17. I think Dickerson is gone now that he's got a 3 point shot...Houstan I think will be back... I think so too...he's got the most potential of the 3 in my estimation...
  18. I haven't looked, but is he on draft boards? He comes back next year and his brother keeps improving, the Hawkeyes could be really tough...
  19. Iowa up on Sparty by 15 in the first half... Offensively, the Hawkeyes are top shelf, and their defense is improving...
  20. Best job in the world... My grandson's favorite phrase to his Mom (my oldest daughter) "Grandpa says he outranks you." 😁
  21. I hear ya...But we do have to win them if we want in...I think it's as simple as that...
  22. When: Thursday, February 24th 7 PM EST Where: Simon-Skojdt Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Indiana TV: FS1 Maryland's record 13-14 (5-11, 11th in Big Ten) Games since our last meeting in late January (And also the high point of the season for us, when we were 16-5 and 7-4 in conference play Box Score from our meeting at Maryland in January We did a good job on Scott, Ayala, and Russell last time, and we need to do it again...All 3 are talented, and if you let them start fast, they can beat you. Our bench outscored their bench 19-3. Our defense held them to 29% overall shooting (43% is their average) and 25% from 3 (34%). XJ had a subpar shooting night, but did and excellent job on ultra-quick PG Fatts Russell. They are 3-5 on the road in conference, with the most impressive win being against Rutgers at the RAC (Jersey Mike's Arena). We really need this one...
