  1. Yep, I don’t disagree, my beef was with the no foul call and momentum change
  2. And it’s not overstating to say that tie up changed momentum
  3. Our posts crossed in the night but yep, really really good. Pearl can coach
  4. Auburn looks really good. Just beat Bama in Tuscaloosa. Jabari Smith is legit. Their PG made a few highlight reel plays too, but he’s also takes some bad shots. This team will be a Final Four favorite
  5. Since you’re confused let me help you out… you referred to COViD as “China virus” and “Wuhan flu”, both of which are inaccurate and xenophobic terms. I’m sure it was a completely innocent mistake so consider yourself educated
  6. Trey needs to be on the floor as much as possible this year
  7. I’ve been saying this all game! Kopp just doesn’t bring much unfortunately
  8. Starters were solid, minus Kopp. We need him to get a consistent 6-8
  9. I was at this game. In laws live in Bham so took my boys for something to do… I wore my IU gear, they wore their Auburn just to be annoying (my wife went there) and we cheered like heck for Davidson! Bama has now lost to Iona, Memphis and Davidson. Seem over rated to me, they live and die by the 3
  10. Sure, if you want to go from a team with a shot at a top 5-6 B10 finish and tournament appearance to one that will go .500
  11. I forgot what it’s like to care and get sweaty hands and feet during a game. I love it!!
  12. If I told you they’ve hit 8 threes and we’ve hit 6 would you believe it? Feels more like 14 to 6
  13. I feel the same. I was there Tue and Leal was out shooting 3’s 10 minutes after the game and must have gone 27 for 30. Maybe he’s just really struggling defensively but I hope he (and Lander) can get some run in this 2nd half.
  14. That’s Kitchel? Man, he sounds a lot different to me from the channel 4 days
  15. Couldn’t agree more with this. The HH’s have taken some risks, invested time and energy, and thought creatively about how better to unite the fan base (and players) and build a level of excitement in the program that’s been missing for decades. I’ll support that all day long.
  16. I also thought I read somewhere that neither Bates nor Kopp played
  17. A bit random here but my 10 yr old boys have a baseball tournament in b-town this weekend and desperately want to try and see some Hoosiers. I figure the best chance is around Cook Hall, does anyone know their workout schedule or when they might be filtering in/out? Thanks!
  18. Speaking of which, yesterday on the DD show he referred to TJD as “Tracy Davis”. A classic grandpa move. (I’ve also come around and am excited, just funny and hopefully they add some youth on the sidelines to counteract the old guy factor)
  19. That’s really good perspective (from all if you), appreciate that. I've not dealt with this personally so admittedly I’m probably a little naive. I did talk with a close friend of mine who was a former manager under RMK and was there Saturday. For what it’s worth, he said there are doubts about him ever making it to a game just because of how emotionally overwhelming it might be and uncertainty of reaction, although I can’t imagine it being anything other than positive. He thought it might be more like several smaller appearances with media present so they could report and let people know he is reconnecting. Again, just speculation but a different perspective from someone closer to this than most.
  20. Exactly Mile. I was there, saw him bantering with the hysterics guys, fans and players. Didn’t miss a beat. Obviously he’s not 100% but unless things have taken a drastic turn in the last few months, he still appeared to be pretty with it to me.
  21. Thanks, being there made me feel like something really special is happening and the cloud that seems to have been hovering over this program for the last 25 years is almost gone. Also, just thought this was a cool picture of Sherron and Evans having what appeared to be a special moment. They talked for a while. I have a new found respect for Sherron and how he’s comeback from his struggles in the past.
  22. I was there today. Simply an amazing event all the way around. The guy at the door estimated 800 people. Seems high but the place was packed so maybe. I spoke with Sage, Evans, Moye, and Sherron for a bit. They couldn’t have been nicer. And Sage is such a great ambassador for IU. They were all interviewed on stage. So was Coverdale, Nover, Hornsby, Hartman, Elston, Laz, and Tyra Buss. Sherron was particularly moving, he said this was the final piece to his ultimate healing and was emotional about the fan base welcoming him back home. It’s absolutely amazing what this podcast is doing for the fan base and former players, it’s hard to describe but it was palpable. I had to leave after 3 hours so unfortunately I missed RMK but the video was priceless.
