I don’t understand the excitement around Cignetti. His presessor at JMU was arguably more successful there and is now 24-34 at East Carolina

JMU under Cignetti has only one win over power 5 conference teams (a 1pt win over Virginia this year). He hasn’t coached at this level since he was Alabama’s WR coach 14 years ago. He’s also in his 60s. His success at JMU has zero translation to success in the BigTen. To assume otherwise is a massive gamble.

Wouldn’t this sentiment be the same for all the candidates mentioned except for Herman and Cryst?

    Which isn't what you said.

Also, he was projected to be drafted due to having athleticism and skills (other than shooting). Edey? Not so much. Can't really compare the two. It made sense for TJD to go pro but doesn't for Edey.

I say let him go. The less prodding bigs in the league the better. Maybe that will get our conference closer to modern basketball…

I think a lot is the knee and the new OC. I mean what we're those play calls after the Kelce fumble?

I think we ran 3 straight WR screen's.

Yeah that was very questionable play calling. Didn’t take advantage of the turnover at all. I didn’t understand that series.

New offensive coordinator, injured knee and trying to protect himself more than taking off and running.

He has been a little slower in recognizing open receivers though too.

Still have a really good season.

Oh for sure 9-1 is great. Great team it’s just not the same Jalen used to seeing out there.

Well, the Kelce fumble was 100% forced by a great defensive play.

Held them to basically all punts in the 3rd.

Yeah, KC had some bad drops, but with how the Chiefs offensive line and Mahomes are protected by the officials, it's absolutely a win.

I guess. What’s up with hurts this year though. He just seems off.

As well as he played last week, I don’t recall Aaron Casey’s name mentioned once today. Can’t have your leader and supposedly best player disappear like that

He made one play I think all day. The 3rd down tackle for loss that setup the game tying drive.  Nothing else all day.

Who knows,.....they may already have. I really don't remember seeing him at IU with all the former players when Knight came back to assembly Hall. Maybe that's why he's so negative all the time.

If I recall. He was invited. He chose not to go. I believe he actually called the game that came after ours.
