Pretty much the same stats as Miller Kopp 9 pts, 53% from 3 and 100% free throw
I'll take 10 guys with those stats if we can get them.
Set NCAA records that would never be broken.

Lots of unknowns. What positions? Would it hurt recruiting? Were they areas of need?
But if one was a shooter, we should have taken him.
IU really needs a Connor Essegian (Indiana kid, now a freshman at Wisconsin). Fearless. Shooting 50% from three and 100% free throws for the season so far. Averaging 10 points per game.
If HE wants to transfer to IU, we should send a private jet to bring him home.

For those of you that stuck around: Thank you all so much for being the civil respectable people that you are. I’m at work (we don’t get days off) and I was thinking folks was about to burn this place down and the mod team was gonna burn with it. Shew…
I'll be a mod! I have a long list of people I want to get even with.

1 for 16 from three, not counting Kopp.
I'm good with Race never shooting a 3 again. He is not a stretch four. Never has been.
The rest of the BigTen scouting staffs will pay attention to this game.

Just a bad night for Race.
There should be a very short list of Hoosiers that have a green light to take a transition three.
Race Thompson should not be on that list.

IU has offered 6'8" Tyler Betsey, whose top 3 so far are Indiana, Duke, and . . . Rutgers. So he'll be watching. Maybe even there.
He's a Top 60 recruit who shoots over 40% from three.
Let's stomp them by 20 and show him what he can do here.

Here are the new Wisconsin football coach's contract details, year by year. With an $8 million buyout if he resigns.
Mentions a rumor that he may have interest as Ohio State coach eventually.

Top 100 player 6' 8" Tyler Betsey.
Tyler Betsey will visit Indiana this month (December 2022). Link says he went from unranked, to Top 60, to maybe Top 20 in a matter of months.
At 6'8", he shot 40% from three in 21 games last summer. Shot 45% from three at Peach Jam.
Offers from Indiana, Duke, and Rutgers.

Per the Rutgers forum. Sure hope someone puts that in the IU locker room.

Another name for 2024. Top 100 player 6' 8" Tyler Betsey. Says we're one of four schools talking to him the most. As is Duke.
I found the link at TheDailyHoosier. Good recruiting source (I have no vested interest - just my opinion).

Meleek Thomas. Not committed, but his coach was there with him at the North Carolina game. Both seemed to have a great time.
Those smiles look genuine.

Quote of the night from the North Carolina fan board:
"This team SUCKS! Nobody looks remotely like they want to be there on the court, doesn’t look like anybody likes anyone else, zero fire, zero fun, zero pride, zero anger for getting rolled. Just slog and mope and pout like a bunch of no talent no heart no pride no teamwork soft loser pussies."

Apparently the refs called a tech on our crowd!?!?

Can they even do that? As a rule?
Next they'll call techs on the building, saying the lights are too bright.

Celtic Bill Russell HATED opposing players who played injured. Considered it an insult. Any time it happened, he yelled at the opposing coach to get the guy off the floor, then played 3 x harder to destroy him.
That's game attitude.

I'm good with it, as long as there is transparency.
The Wisconsin women's volleyball team is the defending national champion. Ten Sweet-16s in a row. Multiple Final Fours. Currently ranked #2 or #3 in the nation.
The coach tells every player that it's his job to recruit the best every year. It's the player's job to work hard enough play or start. There is no such thing as being "recruited over." He addresses that early, in front of the parents.
