$1900 on eBay.  These dinosaurs sell from $500 to $6,000.

These were awesome.  Monday Night Football in the 1970's.  We were kings.

Coming to visit not on a gameday? Seems like they might want to see all the things that go into day before game ,etc....

Crediting a source, from Btown Banners:

"More from Weingarten - Sisley will visit Indiana for another unofficial visit on Saturday for their (Sunday) matchup with Michigan State, a source told @Stockrisers.  Will obviously be observing both teams, as they’re both (along with others) heavily involved."

Not sure if this means he'll be at the Sunday MSU game or not.  Maybe just seeing prep the day before.

    Jan 21 update:

In his game last night, Trent had 31 pts. on 12-13 FG; 7-7 FT; 6 reb; 3 blocks.

For the season, he's averaging over 27 points 10 rebounds on 66% shooting.

    Another Jan 21 update:

Rabjohns Tweeted that Top 50 player Trent will be at IU on Sunday for the MSU game.  Trent visited MSU earlier this week.

Found this today at a local antique store here in Delaware. I had to pick it up.

I Googled "Purdue basketball national champion memorabilia" and all that comes up are pictures of Indiana's NC teams beating Purdue.

Which means the closest Purdue has ever come to a national championship was when they were on the court losing to Indiana University.

    Ouch.  That's gotta sting.

It’s a flipping nerd with no credibility arguing for airborne shooter treatment on a rebound.

Agree.  I trust the opinions of Indiana fans ahead of this guy trying to impress his 200 Twitter followers.  But here is the expert our Purdue guests have chosen to argue their case:

"Purdue Food Science 2018. "All American" Marching Band B1G Flags; GABS, Box Band; Former Basketball Official; B1G Sports, Fair Maps, Election Twitter, +Sarcasm"

Esigan hit one that I swear, he jumped first, received the pass in mid air, released the shot, nothing but net.

Hard to guard that quick of a shot release.

    Can’t believe we didn’t recruit him. 🤦🏻

Hoping for the best, but a monumental challenge. Amazing how much this matchup has completely flipped during my lifetime from automatic W for us to auto W for them. A tale of two programs going in diametrically opposed directions.

I've been up here during the changeover.  Saw the 1981 and 1987 Indiana NCAA championship teams play in the old Wisconsin barn.  Attendance was usually around 5,000.  You could buy great tickets an hour before the game, face value.

If Wisconsin was ever ahead, even by 10 points, people would say "This is Indiana, they'll come back and win."   And they did.

Then it changed.  Now if IU is ahead in the 17,000 capacity sold out Kohl Center, someone in our row will say "Ha, this is only Indiana.  Wisconsin will come back and win."  And they do.

  7. A few tidbits:

In 8 seasons as UW head coach, Greg Gard has won two Big Ten regular season titles and has twice been named Big Ten coach of the year.

Wisconsin is 24-3 against Indiana since 2007-08.

Indiana native Connor Essegian was ranked 226th coming out of high school.

Indiana is favored to win this game by both KenPom and Sagarin.

Is she related to Justin Smith’s dad?

Didn't the dad's criticisms of Indiana turn out to be mostly correct?

Justin transferred to Arkansas, led them to an Elite Eight in the NCAAs, averaged career high in scoring, and shot 55% from the field.  Made at least all-conference, maybe higher.  He had a great time playing basketball.  Played well, had energy, delivered on the court.

His team finished #6 in the coach's poll, and lost in the NCAAs to the eventually national champion.

While the IU basketball coach got fired.
