  1. I grew up in Indiana, land of basketball hoops in every driveway.

When I moved to Madison (WI), I saw hockey nets in every driveway.

Most neighborhoods have a full sized rink they freeze every winter, many with lights.  They are filled with high school kids day and night, all winter long.  People are sad when Spring comes and they have to dismantle them.

During summer, little kids practice with driveway nets and tennis balls.

Only six national titles for the UW, but it sure is popular here.

DO NOT OPEN ANY OF THOSE. It's very rare! I found a graded 9 selling for $499.99. If yours are sealed they could grade a 10 and be worth $800 to a $1000 each, or more. Don't send in all 10 at once it would drive the price down. So you know my fee is small.....:coffee:

after a little more digging...only 200 of them were made. Not many could be left. If you could track down the authors from the company and get 3 or 4 signed, it would triple the value.

You're kidding, right?  I honestly thought they were worthless, and the eBay listing was one of those scam posts that sit there for years.  I almost threw them out as clutter.

Thank you, Indy.  Not sure what I'll do next, other than Google:  "How to ask Hayden Panettiere for her autograph."  I'd fly out to Calif for that.

  3. I have 10 of these from someone who worked at NBC.  Mint, never opened.  No idea what to do with them.  Only one I can find is listed for $169 on eBay (and not selling at that price, which means it's not only worth less, it may be worth a LOT less.)

It's called the Heroes NBC TV Nosfratu comic.  #2.   From 2007.

I'd like to sell, but don't want to deal with eBay.  Any advice?

(Ware) can step out and shoot the long ball.

I've seen this on multiple sites.  Over and over, writers saying he can shoot the three.  Almost every article says so.

    Why?

He's a 27% 3-point shooter.  Justin Smith and Race Thompson were 26%.  People cringed when they shot threes.

Illinois was last in the BigTen at 30% 3-point shooting.  Ware's 27% was below the worst team's average.

I hope he has a great Indiana career.  Maybe he will improve.  But until he does, he's exactly the guy other teams want to shoot from three.

    Sounds good!

This Holbrook guy has all of 248 followers, drops F bombs like they're on sale at Costco, and called Iowa losing in the NCAA women's title game a victory for America.

I hope we get Dalton K, but there's nothing on this guy's feed that says he's connected, or even smart.

    Fans are funny.

Love hits the portal and we all scream "no thank you, no way"

Mutual interest is announced and we are all on pins and needles like its a make or break transfer.  😅

I'm still upset we missed out on Moses Abraham, and his sweet 1 . 6 points per game over his 4-year career.

Why start threads like this because it only leads to splits in the fan base.

Agree.  Why is this a thread at all?  It could be a post in the MW thread we already have.

That aside, for someone to imply we should show Coach Woodson the door, in order to chase this year's shiny new object, is beyond silly.

The "he's .525% in the BIG" totally discounts just how terrible Archie Miller was (who himself was once a shiny new object).

Can you imagine starting all over with the '24 and '25 recruits?

    Nope, nope, nope.
