I could be wrong but I thought we already had a recruiting thread on Bol.

I looked and didn't see one on the first page of recruiting, and the site won't let me toggle beyond that.  The info was new on TheDailyHoosier, so I went with it.

Edit:  yep, there is another old thread.  This one is better. 🙂

The last post was on Jan 8 and said:

"John Bol is Terrible.  His hands are insanely bad."

I still like the kid as a person.  We'll see about basketball.  I'm done with projects.  I want players.

  2. I can't tag members.  If I type @5fouls, a box pops up with a spinning circle, and just stays there.  I've tried to tag @thedailyhoosier several times for his content, and haven't been able to.

I'm using an old version of Firefox on Windows 7.  Because the newer versions are terrible.

I've had a few issues with the pages, too, as you mentioned.

I remember just after Covid hit how all these colleges started crying poverty pretty quick. Tells me they are maybe (budget wise) standing a bit close to the sun.

The crying was all just theater.  When Covid hit, it happened right away up here in Madison, Wisconsin.  Begging for dollars from taxpayers.  Claiming Madison would lose $100 million in the first year alone (a real number they used).  Just extreme dire consequences if they didn't get $100 million in taxpayer money to off set it.

End of the world type hysteria.

None of it was true.  It was just an act to get money.

One of the days you live for...my youngest (26) had to have labor induced because her BP was getting too high...

Good form and court vision.  Still growing.  Needs to get stronger to compete.  High major potential.

NCAA just came out with rule clarification saying Boosters or companies may not contact recruits, families or handlers with NIL deals to get them to attend certain schools. They a;se said they may go after rule breakers of the last 10 months but would more than likely focus on future cases.

If broken rules MAKE money for the NCAA, no problem.  Give North Carolina and Kansas the National Championship trophy.

But the idea that players could make money without the NCAA being in control or getting its cut . . . NOW they're all about enforcement.

With the transfer portal and NIL talk getting tiresome how about a new topic.

    1) How and when did you become an IU fan.

    2) What is your favorite seasons and memories of your time as a IU fan.

    1.  Last season, as I excitedly awaited the upcoming NIL and transfer portal.

    2.  This season, as the exciting NIL and transfer portals became reality.  We should discuss them more.

Just joking.  Nice new topic.  Hope you get some good posts.

Well you're like 55, 5'8", 212, with a broken old jumper due to arthritis.  Along with the rest of us.

When you start raking in 2.4 billion dollar tv contracts hit me up bro.

    But . . . but . . . income inequality!  Inequity!  Diversity!

We demand a league of 55+ out of shape guys playing slow half-court, but we will be paid the same as the NBA, even though we'll have no ratings, fans in the stands, or marketable brand.

Thank you, WNBA, for the business model.  We look forward to your support on Twitter.

Hard pass on KB. Maybe Dad can explain why things haven't turned out as well.

Pass on Brooks.  I wanted him out of high school.  That was ages ago.  He doesn't fill a long or short-term need.

However, here's what one poster said on the Kentucky board:

"I actually think he will be an All-American in his one and only season in Indiana, before becoming a late first round pick in 2023.

Cal failed to develop him and mishandled coaching him, Brooks has elite athleticism and when he used it he looked incredible here, I find it hard to believe Woodson won't tell him he has to use it if he wants to play in the NBA.

Best wishes, I hope we don't have to play Indiana next year."

I don’t often get inside info (which is to say, pretty much never) but I do have a solid source on this and just talked with him, it will be Jordy in this recruiting coordinator role. Stakes are low here since it’s not a recruit so I don’t feel the risk of being skewered if wrong but 99.9% take it to the bank on Hulls returning

Jordy shot 44% from three for his career, and started 121 games.  Almost 2:1 assists to turnovers.  86% free throws.

    Let the man teach shooting.

This will only lead to bickering & jealously, and ultimately hurt the product.

Exactly.  It's like having similar employees, with similar results, but with 300% different incomes.

Anyone would question why they're being paid far less than others for the same, or even superior, results.

Was just coming here to post this.  I think it's hilarious.

Ha, same here.  Saw the info below, came here to post it, discovered we already had hours of discussion posted.

    Damn, we're good.

Miami guard Isaiah Wong will enter the transfer portal on Friday if his name, image and likeness (NIL) compensation isn't increased, his NIL agent told @DraftExpress and @jeffborzello on Thursday. https://t.co/zieoxJgel1
