Probably the best game we’ve played since Minnesota, or maybe Iowa? Either way, tonight’s win was needed.
I’d argue that was our best game this year.Â

Ware was awesome. Defense was solid. Can’t ask for more than that.Â

Ware was awesome and the defense was pretty good too. Can’t ask for more.Â

I can’t believe he was shocked Woody was giving him the business over that.Â

I’m going to go ahead and call overtime right now.Â

XJ looked good early but he is killing us now. Missed two free throws and has 5 turnoversÂ
It’s hot or cold with him.Â

Looks like they are headed back in now.Â

Just turned it on. I thought we were up big. Â
We were. Wisconsin has chipped away. We’ve gotten loose with the ball this half.Â

We are getting too careless.Â

Good timeout, Woody.Â

Let’s keep them from making an end of half run.Â

Just home. Looking good.Â

I just re-read "Black Noon" by Art Garner about the 1964 race. I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially for anyone who remembers racing from the 50's and 60' s. The background material about drivers and owners alone is worth the read. "Al Unser Jr: A Checkered Past" is also excellent. The behind the scenes stuff makes these bigger than life drivers more human. For hard-core fans, Track Forum is a great sort of information. One poster, NIF I think is his username, provides great insight into the technical side of things from a crew members perspective. It's not a place for the faint of heart. Those guys can get a little rough.
I have lurked at TF for years and post there from time to time. An average day on TF is like a day after a 20 point home loss to Purdue here. It’s the best place for info though. No offense to anyone here, but some of those guys are real insiders, like NIF.Â
ÂYou know earlier this year someone on their was blaming the fans for all of Indycar’s problems. He readily got beat down. Â

I know this would never work out this way in a million years, but if there is going to be a change, I wish everything could be worked out so that the announcement could be made about his retirement prior to the MSU game. That way he could be given a nice thank you from the fans for his years as a player and the good times from his years as coach. It would be like another senior day for him in a sense.  I'm afraid otherwise his potential last game in SSAH could have some ugly moments, and I would really hate that for him and for our fan base. Â

I might be wrong but I believe I heard last week that the Pacers led the league in wins over the top 8 and tied for lead with losses to bottom 8Â
I think I read something like that too. They are simultaneously fun and frustrating to watch. Â

FWIW I've also heard Cronin hasn't been connected to IU. There's a lot of stuff swirling right now but there seem to be 2 constants. Pearl and May.
IMO, Cronin would be a perfect fit at Louisville and kill it there.Â

For the people that follow the Pacers more closely. It seems or feels like once a week or every other week we lose a game they have no business losing. What gives there? Just a bad night or missing something.
This team is infinitely better but just curious.
I’ve been watching them a lot more this season and defense is a foreign concept a lot of nights with them. That leads them to getting burned by lesser teams fairly regularly because all those NBA guys can put it in the basket when you give them a chance.Â

I read an article yesterday that ticket sales are similar to 2016 pace already.Â
That’s awesome. With IU basketball being what it is this season, my thoughts are turning toward May a few weeks earlier than normal.Â

For now, I'll make some assumptions. Â
Cupps, Galloway, Reneau and Sparks are back.
Other than that no clue. I even give it a 50/50 that one of those 4 are gone. Â
I'd ask Leal to give it one more run. And I wonder, what's the point of bringing in new freshman if we run them off once they finish up their sophomore year. I'd be OK with Gunn coming back. I think with the right system he could actually thrive as a guy off the bench. He has to accept his role however and lean into the coaching. Stop with the 18 foot jumpers. Â
Gunn is a tough case. I see the points you make and don’t disagree. I know we don’t want to turn this into another coaching thread but I can’t say this any other way with Gunn, if Woody comes back he should move on, if there is a change let’s see what he does with the new coach.Â

Guards in the portal who have skill and also fit a particular system.Â
Shooters - plural
Try to find another freshman or two who will be pieces that grow and contribute over time. We can't fall into a cycle of needing a ton of guys from the portal every year.Â
I'd have anyone back who was interested outside of Gunn and Banks. I'm assuming Ware is gone. Â

Is it May yet?

Well, I’m pretty sure I know who your eye doctor is. Whenever I take Little Keet there she always talks with him (us) about IU hoops b
