Not that it matters much in this setting, but what are everyone’s thoughts on who starts on Friday?

Im not saying that is who it will be in November, but that’s my prediction for Friday.

My thoughts exactly. I was hoping it was more an issue of others catching up with him and not him regressing. Woody did mention him in his answer to the question about who the five best offensive players had been. I’m probably as excited to see him as any of our players. Maybe it’s my renewed optimism, but I’m bullish on the young man’s potential for us.

Also said Tamar Bates was a confident cocky kid and he liked that 

And that at the beginning of the scrimmages, Parker Stewart was the best player on the floor...and Coach Woody was trying to get him back there...

 

 

I thought the quotes about Parker were some of the most interesting parts of the availability.  

A couple of thoughts from Woody’s media availability and interview with Katz:

1.  It does my heart good to hear him say the things he did about Rob P. I believe if he gets his head right, he can be a key contributor this season. 
 

2.  He mentioned numerous times they have a long way to go. Personally speaking I have to make sure to keep my expectations reasonable FOR THIS SEASON amidst the excitement of a new coach. 

I just lifted up a prayer. He @Billingsley99, be a little more careful next time with the thread title. When I saw “PRAYERS NEEDED!!!” started by you, my heart sank. 

If they’re smart they will wait to cancel until after they get the ten practices in. Hopefully they don’t cancel though.

Did you see Steve Spurrier’s quote about Texas?  He said something along the lines of they can’t even win the B1G XII.  

Home vs N. Illinois on 11/12. That’s usually around the date the season starts, so I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s the opener. 

Good.  I'm not going to miss it.

Structure it with two 10 team divisions. One division will be IU, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Michigan, MSU, Ohio St, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Northwestern.  The other division will be everyone else. 🙂

As far as Popeye's is concerned, the first time I ate their Chicken Sandwich, I absolutely loved it.  The next couple of times I did not like it.  Haven't been back to one in a long time.

 

Is there a Raising Cane’s in the area?  I have never seen one. They originated in Baton Rouge where my wife is from. That was my first exposure to them. I ate chicken fingers from Canes at the food court in the Mall of Louisiana the afternoon before my wedding that evening.

Just think, with the new transfer rule we can look forward to some athletes having public announcements 2 or more times in their career and hyping up each one of those. An initial commitment announcement and then they get to do it again the next year when they transfer after their freshman season. With the instantaneous way we receive information these days it makes the Olympics tough to watch when they are taking place on the other side of the world. I have no interest in watching when I already know who wins. 

I normally would hate seeing guys go to UK, but it would be hysterical to watch the continued migration from UI to UK.
