Putting lights up at IMS has been discussed for years. I’d say it’s more likely to happen due to a) new ownership and b) the circumstances. Obviously any lights for this year would be the temporary kind.
It does stay light late that time of year, but you are still dealing with the issue that has always been there of turning 300,00 loose on the little town of Speedway late in the evening. That was always a sticking point with the Hulman- George family. They tried to be courteous to the residents of the town.
Whatever happens I’ll be there in turn one when the green flag is waved.
I remembered one around that time was awful. I couldn’t remember if it was 15 or 16. I was going to look that up later tonight. Thanks for saving me the work.
My wife and her coworkers , who work at a nursing home, have been told they have to use the same mask for three days. Fortunately her mom, a retired nurse, has a few left over she is doing to give her.
The INDYCAR forum I lurk on has a whole Dakich thread going on their off topic forum. He is loathed in Indycar circles as well for comments he has made over the years.
I texted the lady who cuts my hair to see if she could fit me in before shutting down, but she decided to shut down her shop early. I get my hair cut every two weeks. It’s going to be driving me nuts soon. I might have to buy my own clippers.
My wife works in health care in Harrison County. It’s definitely getting closer to home for me literally and emotionally with my wife’s job. She is at a nursing home so she should be safe with all the precautions they are taking, but still...
There are confirmed cases in Clark County where I work, but I teach so I’m out anyway. Still none as of yet in my home county.
Yep. Little Keet doesn’t have a compromised immune system, but he has been hospitalized three times in about 1.5 years with pneumonia so we’re being extremely careful with him.
Lifting up a prayer now for you and your little man in this time to stay healthy and safe.
I'm in So Indiana, just across the bridge from Louisville. Indiana has granted schools up to 20 wavered days. We are using five the week after spring break. We could end up using more based on how this all goes.
It's official. The school I work at is closing after today until 4/6. One of those weeks is spring break though, so it's really only two weeks closed and one week will be eLearning. The door was left open to extend the shutdown. At least I'll have lots more time to post here with you all.
I’m a teacher and I fully expect tomorrow to be my last day for a while. Next week would have been our last week before spring break. The question now is, will we go back when we were scheduled to?
