  1. See, the world is just now understanding the man flu!
  2. YOu might start drinking when this project is over ! lol Good luck sir.
  3. Just imagine the reaction if/when the Washington models proves to be BS after they open up. This could get ugly, very very ugly.
  4. So you’re willing to take one for the team, that takes guts. You know that it’s about more than any individual, I celebrate and thank you! If only more people would think like you, thank you for your sacrifice sir.
  5. Cool! Good luck. I made cupcakes. lol
  6. I don't think that he was saying you are slimy, he thinks Politicians are as slimy as you think they are. But I could be wrong.
  7. Well they do have a proven, tested blueprint now. Now get in the cattle cars everyone.
  8. I've got a 14' 2 door JK w/ 4" and 35"s. I've put a rear bumper on it but that's about it. I always plan to do more but just never do for some reason. Also have a, 18' JL 4 door. Bone stock, it's the wifes. and an 07' Commander with 3rd row seating. IT's the wife and grand kids cool (not) bus. I've built trucks and jeeps all my adult life.
  9. Can't you just not fill it up above 3/4 of a tank? See, I'm a fixer! lol
  10. Totally unrelated to the subject but totally related to the topic of peer help. I'm a member of several DIY groups. The latest project that has my attention is one of a beginner wanting to set a hot tub, and he is asking for the appropriate way to create the footings for this hot tub. ... I've built everything from janky 10 x 10 sheds to 10,000 sq/ft building from designs in my head, so the responses were fascinating, in several different directions and all of them are correct, yet different levels of over kill to janky. But they are all extremely confident in their suggestions. Project: "10'x10' hot tub, how should I build the footings?" The peer review help, ranged from (all being EXTREMELY confident) lay some level stone pavers over a couple inches of crushed stone, too 6" of poured concrete with reinforced rebar and using fiberglass strand reinforced concrete. (FYI, 6" of crete will hold 1100 pounds per square inch. .. yes INCH. ) Anyway, all of these type conversations are great and I love them (and have learned A LOT!). Never forget though that everyone wants to be an expert while few are, but several experts can bring laughs to many while they exhibit their subject matter excellence.
  11. Brilliant about the oven! Chasing intermittent problems.... Always try to replicate the same conditions. If that wouldn't have worked, I would have thought a can of gas and a match.
  12. Probably not your issue but. I had the exact same condition with a vehicle 2 months ago. Followed the exact same steps you mention here. I personally tested the Alternator 3 times andf it worked perfectly. Come to find out, it actually was an intermittent short in the alternator. There was a single spot that if it stopped at that spot, it dead shorted the entire system, drained everything but not fast enough to let the smoke leak out of everything. I just post as it's "my" story and after 35 years of working on everything car/ truck/ tractor/boat/ motorcylce... had never saw it before.
  13. Isn't that the truth about the Seafood. Man I may go back and buy a truck load of shrimp. I ate about 3# today, how are people not bingeing on this? I'm like Scooby Doo on Scooby snacks!
  14. My 2 cents, I’d wait. Air temp is one factor but so is ground temp. It seems like every time I’ve got rambucksious and planted early in the ground, my plants were stunted for a bit.
  15. This thread, and maybe isolation, has me back (kinda) in the gardening mood. A few years ago I did that straw bale gardening thing. It was phenomenal! I assumed that year two, with the same bales, further decomposition would happen and I would have even better results. The area I used was relatively shaded, but again year 1 was awesome. 7’ tall tomatoes, Okra pods as long as your forearm ( the ones I let go that long, worthless to eat). Yr 2, not as successful. Either the trees grew adding more shade or the 2nd yr bales lost their Mojo. One thing i noticed yr 2, the bales lost moisture nearly immediately. Lots of watering required, or so I thought. So here I am, I’ve got 5 bags of that packaged straw bedding left over from a job I never got past buying supplies for. It’s straw wrapped in a plastic bag and sealed. I put them out tonight, cut slits in the bags and started pouring my high Urea mixture to get decomposition started. Placed them in more full ish, sun and will see what happens. 8’ tomato’s with fruit as big as a bucket? Maybe I’ll paint a mater like a basketball.
  16. I bought a dog from a locksmith buddy of mine a couple years ago. As soon as I got him home, he bolted for the door.
  17. It will be “always have extra condoms”. There’s going to be a plethora of curtain climbers!
  18. They put it back on which I figured wouldn’t happen. Fingers crossed that it holds. No pun intended. Lol
  19. Well it was a PSA so I think the like is acceptable! lol. 51 years to have anything serious, working as a tool maker, welder, firefighter and DIY'er that likes to drink during... I'd say I'm pretty lucky.
  20. Well here is a PSA while we all isolate and work on projects. DON'T put your fingers in the circular saw. Took one off at the first knuckle today and I was making some damn good progress on a shed too! !@%@$%^%!
  21. I wonder if there is anyway to see a chronological, step by step list of which swamp creatures proposed/ added which pork items to this emergency stimulus package? I would love to see this and then advertise the hell out of it. I’m sure this is an elementary level comment, but I’d love to see rules implemented to only allow “clean” bills and single topic bills. I just saw that this package has 100 million for general aviation airports. I’m an aviator but don’t feel like this Bill is where that sort of thing should be “hidden”.
  22. Man I am so, totally with you. I’ve got a 4’x8’ pantry. It’s just the wife and I, ( with the exception that she’s a major coupon’er and the daughters raid the closet weekly) and we don’t need much. Hell this shut down feels like a vaca, and I work from home to start with!
  23. I agree but am only starting to understand my feelings about this. What I feel happening is a total Armageddon type over reaction. We have to have the data to feel safe about anything like, living. But I fear (kinda) that the data will only prove that the reaction was truly NUTZ driving us to potential Armageddon type reactions. Once this train started off the tracks there was honestly no place at all to go except follow the train. I guess my biggest fear is that this exercise may be only data for someone to use it against us in the future.... that is if that isn’t exactly what’s being done now.
  24. Yes the second was a statement. I started with a good direction and scope.... but then AADD kicked in. I’m good at that. Obviously this thing is serious but damn. I guess I would rather hurt for a week or two (maybe even pass), than ruin 10,000 people’s lives to take care of me.... while I’m one of those 10,000.
