I predict many, many foul calls in this game. I have a feeling the league is going to knee jerk react to the Wisconsin/Michigan dustup, and we have the next game.

All I'm saying is that if the ref tells you not to run the baseline, regardless of if he's technically correct, it's probably a bad idea to continue with that inbounds play.

I don't know how they could have made it more clear. It was after a make, but when the refs blew their whistle, it became a dead ball, and the inbounded couldn't move. It seems stupid to me, but the refs informed Purdue of the change prior to inbounding the ball. Generally, if you do something the refs just told you that you couldn't do, they're going to call it.

I think it would take a miracle for Michigan to get in. They're too inconsistent to string together enough wins at this point.

Not sure why you picked BYU, but this is where I have a problem with the "quads." The teams that formulate IU's quad 1 and 2 are vastly different than the teams that are forming BYU's. BYU also recently lost to a 7-16 Pacific team. Not a team in the Pacific conference, the Pacific Tigers. They also have 7 quad 1 and 2 losses. I don't have a solution to this problem; I'm just complaining about it. Give BYU's schedule to IU, and we likely only have 2 losses on the season, both of which would have come at the hands of Gonzaga. Regardless, even taking the quads out of it, we have much better wins than them, and they have much worse losses.

The doom and gloom is killing me. This game would have set us up nicely, but it's not the end of the world. IU still is more likely than not to make the tournament, and, honestly, I'm not really sure that MSU is a tougher road opponent than Northwestern right now. Look at their last three games: @MD: 65-63 win @Rutgers: 84-63 loss home against Wisconsin: 70-62 loss They aren't lighting the scoreboard up, which makes them a much better matchup for us. Even Northwestern is averaging more in the high 70's recently, and we just held them to 59 with basically 6 guys.

They hit 10, while we only hit 3. That's a 21 point margin. This team is so much better this year, but shooting is still our biggest weakness. We just aren't consistent enough from three to win, or even be in games where the other team shoots 10+ at 40% or greater.

I feel like I say this for every big ten game I watch anymore, but the officiating is just so bad.
