  1. Refs trying really hard to keep Maryland in this game
  2. Ivey...takes literally four steps on a step-back three, hits one shot, runs around the gym screaming and flexing like he hit a game winner lol
  3. You're right; it's not complicated. I'm not arguing it wasn't a "foul," I'm arguing why the refs didn't call it. Call it an unwritten rule or whatever you want, JG blocks it, foul doesn't get called. JG misses the block, PSU is shooting three free throws.
  4. That's fine, but show me once where a foul is called when a player swats the ball cleanly, and then his motion takes his arm or body to the shooter CLEARLY after the block has happened. It never gets called. Plays where it's not cut and dry get called sure, but not after clear, unequivocal blocks.
  5. I'm unclear of the specifics of the rule, but if a shot gets blocked cleanly under the basket, and then contact is made after the block, you never see a foul called. I agree that Jordan clobbered him coming down, but refs generally swallow the whistle when a foul occurs after a clean block. Whether its a written or unwritten rule, I'm not sure.
  6. We shot 10-13 from three, which is 77%. That is all
  7. Wish we could have played this Michigan team. Honestly, this just makes me angry haha Edit: never mind, just looked up the box score, nw just shooting well too
  8. I mean, Syracuse, Iowa, and Michigan all did, in fact, shoot out of their minds against us, particularly Michigan. Penn State also had a better than average shooting night against us. We've had one of those type of games this season; really it was moreso Phinisee going off against Purdue.
  9. UM was 8-20 from three against Maryland at home recently (still good @ 40%); 11-17 against IU. That's unworldly good shooting, even when shooting wide open shots. I don't care how good of a team you have, when your opponent is shooting 65% from three, you're not going to win. Syracuse and Iowa both shot out of their minds for long stretches of those particular games; I would argue both of those teams played their best games thus far against IU. The UM game is the only game IU hasn't been in this year; every other game IU has had a shot of winning within the last few minutes, and the only reason IU wasn't in it against UM is that they shot 65% from three. We can say the defense wasn't up to the task all we want, but sometimes the other team just has a better day. I think we get back on track tomorrow and finish out strong. I don't see a single game on the rest of the schedule that I think is a sure loss.
  10. This isn't aimed at you Scott, but I couldn't care less about the adolescent horses, or for much of the NFL for that matter.
  11. Head coaches call the offense all the time and no one bats an eye...why should the defense be any different?
  12. I said this in the game thread: IU didn't play great, but they didn't play atrociously either. Michigan shot 65% from three. They outscored us by 18 from three. Dickinson hit like four I believe when he's only hit six all year. That's a better percentage than pre game warmup shoot around. That's the game. Sometimes, the other team just gets absurdly hot. I'm not upset by this one.
  13. Listen, IU isn't playing great, but just give credit to Michigan. This will be their best three point shooting game of the year by far; they can't miss.
  14. Cal does well with NBA ready talent. He is not good at developing players and helping them improve year to year. Brooks would probably end up being a much better player somewhere else.
  15. Ivey had no business trying to dunk that anyway
  16. You know what, I think that's worth an ejection 🙂
  17. And don't get me started on Edey's moving screens
  18. Blatant over the back, multiple missed traveling calls, this doesn't bode well
  19. The officiating in this game is hot garbage
  20. Nothing malicious? It may not be worth a flagrant, but there was some malice in that foul. What game are these announcers watching?
