  1. I think Ohio State barely winning would be the absolute worst outcome of this game. Any other outcome is fine by me.
  2. That guy is going to be sorely disappointed this football season. Also, I'm getting really sick of hearing, "but IU didn't beat any teams with winning records," and "Penn State and Michigan were trash last year anyway." 1. A lot of those teams didn't have winning records because playing only a few conference games for the whole season means most teams will finish with losing records while only a few having winning records, and 2. I firmly believe that had IU not beat Penn State and trounced Michigan, they both would have had much better seasons. Losing to IU broke the will of both of those teams, especially Penn State.
  3. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm cool with trading Nebraska for Kansas in all this conference realignment. They are quickly becoming one of my most hated programs in the conference.
  4. I'd be interested in seeing the academic side of this. If he hadn't been planning on skipping his senior year to begin with, I'd be really interested in seeing what he has to do in order to graduate a year early without planning for it all through high school. I'd also like to see how it works for kids that "reclassify" in basketball.
  5. A&M might be a legitimate target. Rumors are that they were totally left out of this decision and don't want Texas and OU in the SEC.
  6. As a lifelong IU fan, I'll take whatever percent of respect anyone's willing to give! We've definitely got good times ahead.
  7. My thoughts exactly. Also why I said I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think if we can sustain this momentum, and keep improving recruiting, we at least have the opportunity to supplant UM and PSU over the next decade. Not going to be easy though. OSU is a whole different beast, but if we could get to the point where beat them 1 out of every 3 years, I'd be ecstatic. I also am assuming that Allen stays and the administration does what it has to in order to keep him.
  8. It's getting hard to contain my excitement for what this program is turning into! We keep this up and retain Allen when the blue bloods start offering, and we could turn into a perennial top ten team. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but we have a great coaching staff, on-field results, and our recruiting has just been on overdrive. Gotta keep that momentum!
  9. This is HUGE for the program. He's a borderline 5-star recruit. If you go and look at the list of kids in his class committed at this point in time, every other single recruit is committed to a blue-blood program. This commitment, coupled with another strong season, could really open the recruiting floodgates. I see some really good times ahead for IU football!
  10. Yeah, how I feel about this is that 3's are worth more than 2's. Having two 7-footers isn't going to be an advantage if the guys they have to guard are running circles around them and torching them from three. Like Woodson said in his hiring press conference, the three point line has changed the game. In that sense, I think you build the roster to compete in the tournament, not dominate the Big Ten, and that means having one great post player and a few who can back him up, and several elite guards.
  11. To be perfectly candid, I think Woodson is doing better so far than even Stevens would have. I know it's total speculation, and there's no way to quantify what Stevens could have done to this point, but Woody's just knocking it out of the park right now.
  12. I think most people understand the boos weren't really directed at the players...
  13. VA makes no sense considering what he's transferring from. They play even slower than IU did under Archie. IU or Illinois makes much more sense if his goal is to get to the NBA.
  14. I say this with 100% sincerity: This Old House is 10000% better than HGTV. I'm a builder, and HGTV is good for design ideas, but otherwise is rubbish. This Old House gives people a much more realistic perspective of construction, and, more importantly, timelines and cost.
  15. You're all wrong. Vertical door handles are the best.
  16. I don't think there's a single IU fan that is excited by this. I'm still an IU fan and will still cheer for the team, but this is pretty underwhelming.
  17. That was super awkward....we have Dunkin' Donuts in Indiana.
  18. I'd just argue that gross number of championships does not solely equal tradition. UCLA has a ton of championships, but I'd argue IU, UNC, UK, Kansas, Duke, etc. have richer traditions.
  19. Whoa, whoa, whoa... Celtics certainly have a rich tradition, but IU has a banner dating before the Celtics even existed.
  20. This is exactly my thought process as well. And people who never watch basketball will be watching the next four days. It would be four straight days of free, organic publicity.
  21. I'm thinking the Cincinnati game would be a good one to have gameday at. Could be the first top ten matchup of the year!
  22. This is the best defense in IU football history: change my mind.
  23. Did you read the directive? It's clearly advising that if a patient dies before being able to be tested, displays symptoms of the virus, and someone with whom he/she had close contact with tests positive, then it's appropriate to ascribe death to the virus. I think that's a pretty appropriate scenario. Both the article and the senator, who both have clear agendas, grossly misrepresent the situation. Furthermore, the tagline of that website is "We report the truth - and leave the Russia collusion fairy tale to the Conspiracy media." It's not even in the same zip code as what I would deem reputable. Back when I was a teacher, I wouldn't have even allowed it as a source on a research paper. It's crystal clear that you can't trust the information coming from that site.
