All 4 schools can give him plenty of money so I don't think its just that. Relationships matter.
Agree but maybe not the relationships we think of, maybe more behind the scenes relationships than his with the assistant coach who was already at Louisville when he committed to Duke

He has the best relationship with Nolan Smith. I always assumed he would go there.

Rabby dropping a patented message board comment as many were talking about Slater pumping way more IU stuff than the other schools.
“Andrew Slater. I’ll say it again: Most connected person in recruiting.”

Tre White to Louisville. That have any effect on Mgbako?

Saw this on twitter, not an account I've seen mentioned here before but seems like a decent follow

Kenya has the connection to his Dad, not Ya. RTZ said Ya should get paid.
Ya has been named publicly as leading the recruitment of Mgbako. I know he doesn't fit in this thread, however, his post was in this thread. So either Rayj or Mgbako is my guess now.

I think it’s Dingle because of the connection to dad and the fact that we reached out so fast. And technically Mgbako news shouldn’t be in this thread.
Valid point. Thanks

Guessing Dingle.
I had it narrowed down to Dingle or Dennis but wasn't sure exactly. Guess it could be Mgbako too

Retweet.
Could you point me in the direction of which potential player this is in reference to? I know the first time it was for Ware, any hints?

Where does walker project in our rotation?
Reserve 4. Geronimo’s replacement.

Just now, 13th&Jackson said:
That is to be determined. He's 3" taller. His stats aren't better. Hopefully he's a better defender. His per 40 fouls are better.
Rabby literally just said to think of Walker as a "taller and better Geronimo"

Would be an upgrade over Duncomb
More of a JG replacement.
Sparks is Duncomb's replacement

I know this will not sit well with some but Rabby indicating good news is coming for Anthony Walker and IU
Edit: I should add, I am a fan of the pickup and the skillset he brings to the frontcourt players we currently have.

If we were to hypothetically get a quick commitment from Dingle, could we dangle Dingle in front of Mgkabo?
...sorry, just wanted to use all those words in one sentence.
I can't take credit for this because it was on another board....
"Dingle buries a 3!"

Mentioned he has a connection to Kenya.
Kenya played basketball against Jordan's dad in college. Cal coached his dad. Get him on campus.

I don’t understand this. We need all the shooters we can get. Where are the shot creators? Our front court is set with Reneau/Ware and Sparks. Love that X is back…but we need more guard play/shot making ability.
How many times during the last two seasons have you sat and watched an IU game against one of the Murray's from Iowa or Hall from MSU, or Battle from Minnesota (now OSU), or the Penn State games, and thought man if we only had someone quick and athletic enough to guard this guy, we would be so much better off. Race/JG could not stay with them on the perimeter consistently. Our smaller quicker guys would get taken advantage of in the post or when it came time to rebound. This is the type of athletic forward I have seen many fans ask for.
Looking at his per 40 stats from his best season (3 seasons ago) compared to the best season from JG (last year)
Walker: 26.4 mpg / 15 ppg / 7 rpg / 2 apg / 1 spg / 1 bpg
JG: 12.6 mpg / 14 ppg / 11 rpg / 1 apg / 1 spg / 2 bpg
All we are trying to do is replace production and not Race's, that falls on Malik as the starter. If we can get consistency from the backup 4 (if it is Walker or someone else) that raises this teams ceiling no doubt.

Understand what we are selling to someone like Walker. Kids barely going to play.
Plays the backup 4 behind Malik. Could play alongside Malik at the 4 and Malik at the 5. Ball handling bigger guy that is more athletic than Race, Malik, and Sparks. From what I've read, solid defender. Better slasher and finisher than JG was and has plenty of D1 experience. Could definitely do worse in the portal.

Aw, come on man...Even you gotta admit that it was pretty funny...I understand you guys miss sometimes, and that the information changes...
I do appreciate the intel though...
Oh no doubt. I was just having some fun poking back. In my line of work, thick skin comes as a requirement. No harm in any of it. I did laugh a little

I’m right here. Not going to shy away from the board or you. I was given what was believed to be solid intel this morning, and it probably was solid when I was told but that’s how it works. He was all but locked up. Surprise 4 deep visit from Tennessee threw everyone a curveball and he picked them. I was wrong and I’ll take it and eat it. Don’t get cocky. Woody and staff are working and will continue to work hard in the portal and on the road this weekend with the first live evaluation period to build this program. I’ll be back with my next round of intel, whenever that may be, and I’ll continue to share it regardless what some may think of what I have to say. Your choice to believe it or not.

Looks like it’s possible but also looks like one guy on another site saying things looking good and another guy goes from one site to another and says book it with no inside info just optimism.
I have some inside info on this particular recruit, it was discussed weeks ago in this thread. Nothing from this person makes me think things have changed. Ledlum will be a Hoosier.

Ledlum will be a Hoosier. Take it to the bank. Book-it. Whatever phrase you want.
He will be wearing the red and white candy stripes next season.
