  1. I've updated the list of committed players on Page 1 of this thread. We officially have 3 open spots, but only require two as IUSwingman offered to play a 2nd team, if necessary. If nothing changes, we will run a 12 team champions league based on last year's finish and a 10 team second league. I can't officially give the complete roster of who is in the Champions league at this point, as we have a couple of qualifiers from last year who have not given their in/out answer yet.
  2. You are in! There is a thread on the football board that has more detail. See link in original post above. I prefer PPR and likely wont change that though.
  3. We'll have to agree to disagree. 54-hole golf and small fields are not good for the game.
  4. Okay guys. We are set for two 10 team leagues. But, the goal is 12 team leagues. That's 4 more, but for sure need a minimum of 3 more to join to make that happen. I have someone who has offered to play in both leagues if needed, so we'll take 4 additional, but can make it work with just 3 more.
  5. Something like that. But, will Carr be as successful as Rodgers in getting the ball to Adams is the question.
  6. Kelce will be the same BECAUSE of Hill leaving. Otherwise, he would have regressed some as age has to become a factor at some point. As far as the Packers, I have an idea who might be their leading receiver, and it isn't Lazard. I'll keep that one to myself until after we draft though. Adams is the really interesting one in my opinion. Carr obviously already has a rapport with Renfrow. Does Carr increase volume to support both? Does Renfrow suffer so Adams keeps his standard level of targets? Or, does Adams accept something less than what he had with Rodgers?
  7. @Indykev I realize you obviously have a more first-person perspective on this issue than I could ever hope to have. But, as a fan of the game without knowing everything that goes on behind closed doors, I truly do not see where anyone can spin this in a manner to make it good for the sport. The best sporting events are when the best compete against the best. When that can't happen, the sport suffers
  8. Koepka has always been a blowhard. Does not surprise me in the least. That said, he is the one guy who has jumped that you can still categorize as being in his prime. All the other guys, DJ included, have seen their best days in the past. Without an influx of rising talent the LIV has no long term future. Maybe you could make an argument for Ancer, but I'm not even sure he's ever won in tour. The PGA will be just fine as long as they keep guys like Rory, JT, Speith, Scheffler, Morikawa, and Schauflee through their prime. And, of course Tiger is the single biggest difference maker, even if he only plays a few times a year
  9. This is beginning to feel like how the original USFL did. Big names such as Herschel Walker and Steve Young followed the money, and then the whole house of cards fell down. Yes, I get the Saudi's have unlimited money. But, it's still just exhibition golf, a watered down version of the original.
  10. Hmmm. Should I be offended with the timing of these two posts?
  11. The Reds made it through last night without losing.
  12. There are still spots open for those interested.
  13. As long as we can still discuss Montana State.
  14. How bothersome was the screen? I've had front row seats behind the visitor dugout in both Cincy (back in the 80's) and in Pittsburgh (about 5 years ago). It's unfortunate that such great seats now require you to look through a screen.
  15. They are doing it for the chance to play for one of the elite coaching minds of all time.
  16. 'Standing' is too strong of a word. If they are standing, they're bent over,
  17. If I'm counting right, the Big Ten leads the way with 6. The Big 12 has 5 and when BYU officially joins, they would have 6 as well.
  18. At 185 feet tall, it seems as if he would be more suited for basketball. At only 29 pounds, he might get pushed around in the post though.
  19. Another way to look at it is that playing Ill, UM, MSU, Iowa, the Toiletmakers, etc. twice will better prepare us for the postseason than playing Nebraska, Penn State, Minnesota twice. Embrace the schedule. If we are who we think we are, the tougher schedule will test us in a good way. Teach us how to compete in close games. Teach us to bring 100% every time we take the court. Teach us what it takes to win against the type of opponents we will see in March.
