  1. Plus 2 seems to be a popular score early in Round 1 of the U.S. Open for the LIV mob.
  2. Lunardi has us a #4 seed in his latest bracket, the highest of any Big Ten team. He has 8 teams from the conference making it (and that' excludes Wisconsin), but the next highest seeds after us are Illinois and Michigan as 6's. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/bracketology/ncaa-bracketology-projecting-2023-march-madness-men-field
  3. More than likely he found JUCO to be more appealing than Purdue.
  4. I'm currently in my backyard and do not get it. If I go into my living room, will it make sense?
  5. You offering to pay for us to go see it?
  6. I've actually never watched a single minute of Ozark. I am just not a TV person any more beyond sports. Even series that I like/enjoy, I don't find myself making time to watch any more.
  7. Excessive and over the top profanity. I'm not a fuddy duddy or proclaim to be perfect. I'll drop an f-bomb if I do something like stub my toe or get stopped at a traffic light if I'm in a hurry. Usually reserve such language when talking to myself. What I'm talking about is people the cant say 5 words without two of the being profane. People that do it in front of young children as part of normal conversation. People that do it on social media.
  8. Fritz Peterson and Mike Kekich of the Yankees with their original wives. In 1973, they swapped. Wives, that is.
  9. https://www.wave3.com/2022/06/09/snoop-dogg-give-his-blunt-roller-raise/?fbclid=IwAR30loOeD6DaSdYdPvG-xYTvvHAAbd2ykrjcBdehv5WKh1ma2dirYLyB2Dc Snoop Dogg wouldn’t say how much the raise was, but this joint job was already paying between $40,000 and $50,000 a year.
  10. Grandpa is okay with it, but grandma is beside herself. Could be worse. Can you imagine if your grandson transferred to UK?
  11. 5 spots. Please don't force me to invite 5 of my exes to fill out the leagues! Ex #7 is a vicious competitor.
  12. The games are a shell of what they used to be. It's a shame.
  13. Must win for the Celtics tonight. If GS pulls it out, the series belongs to them. 😎
  14. I get you. And, the math supports much of what you are saying. My main position is it levels out the top of the draft, It brings more players and options into the mix once you get by pick 2 or 3 of the draft. Ultimately, in my opinion, a more unpredictable draft makes for a better overall league in the end. A half-point PPR may work better in a Dynasty league, and if we get that off the ground, we can certainly consider it there.

  16. The Reds lineup tonight against the Cardinals. 🤮
  17. Looking for at least 5 more. Join now and I'll guarantee you a Top 12 pick in the draft.
  18. There are spots a available and you are in. I will address the dynasty option once we have our regular leagues filled up.
  19. I'm open to a Dynasty as an 'extra' league. I would not want it to take away from the two regular leagues though. I agree the players in a dynasty league are more likely to be serious. On the flip side, I absolutely love doing the full re-draft. In Dynasty, if you don't get someone like JT as a rookie, you never get to have him on your team. We can explore dynasty. but I would want all Dynasty players to commit to having a redraft team as well so we can maintain a healthy amount of participation.
  20. I'm personally a PPR guy. The league is becoming more of a passing league and there aren't really more than 5 old-school featured backs left in the NFL (Taylor, Mixon, Harris, Henry, Cook, Barkley if he's healthy.....?). I think PPR really balances out the first round and takes away the massive advantage the first 5 picks used to have. I could argue all day that Austin Ekeler is just as valuable to team success as Derrick Henry is. With backs, it's 80% the system that makes a lot of these backs successful. As far as receivers. Receiving TD's last year: Hill - 9 Renfrow - 9 Hill actually had a few more catches and a couple hundred extra yards. So, it wasn't the the number of catches that kept them close in points over the course of the season. It literally was that Renfrow had a higher percentage of catches for TD's than Hill. I'm open to tweaking the league rules, but PPR is one I'm pretty committed to. Yeah, I get that a 5 yard rush and a five yard catch are basically the same thing. But, I stand by my position that it helps balances the scoring, especially in larger leagues. When the 12th pick of the first round can realistically be expected to score the same as the first pick, I thin that adds to the game.
  21. IHSAA Golf Regional results today. An interesting competitor in the field.
