  1. See additional details in Football Forum (link below). http://www.hoosiersportsnation.com/index.php?/topic/10586-hsn-fantasy-football-league-free-you-want-to-join/
  2. HSN Posters. Last year (HSN) we had a pair of 12 team Fantasy Football leagues (free). The competition was fierce, but it was a heckuva good time. Based on early feedback from those that played last season, we expect to need approximately 4-5 replacement teams this year (out of 24). If you have any interest in joining, I will guarantee a spot to the first 4 that respond to this thread. If more are interested, we will create a waiting list starting after 4 for 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. in case we have more open spots than expected. League setup is fairly standard, with 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Defense, 1 K, and 1 Flex with a bench. Scoring is fairly standard PPR with a little extra QB scoring on TD passes and some yardage bonuses. But, nothing overly exotic. Beyond a couple of hours for the draft, the time commitment can be as little as a few minutes each week to ensure you field a complete lineup. If you've never played before, this is a perfect opportunity to get your feet wet since there is no cost. If you miss the playoffs, who cares. None of us know who you really are anyway. If you win, you have board bragging rights for the entire next year.
  3. No. It was Orville Redenbacher Kettle Corn purchased from the grocery.
  4. Of course not. Honestly, I'm not sure.
  5. 14-9 since the 3-22 start. Officially not the worst record in the majors now. Royals at 16-32 compared to Reds at 17-31. Next up to overtake in standings: Nationals, Tigers, A's, and Cubs.
  6. Bags of microwave popcorn that don't pop properly.
  7. Tigers were always my favorite AL team growing up because that's where Sparky went after the Reds made the idiotic decision to fire him.
  8. There are some threads that simply have to be clicked based on the thread title. This is one of those threads.
  9. Jordon Mattingly, Don's son, arrested for DUI in Evansville. Blew a .291 https://www.courierpress.com/story/news/local/2022/05/31/don-mattingly-son-jordon-arrested-memorial-day-dui-evansville-indiana/7452123001/
  10. Baez with 2 hits and Torkleson with 3 today. Both climbed above the Mendoza line. Tigers still lost 8-2 though.
  11. Was looking at batting averages yesterday. Of the 13 qualifying batters that are hitting below .200, FIVE of them are Tigers. That's an insane stat. Is there just no one else to put in, or are they hoping those guys turn it around? By contrast, the Reds, dont even have 5 guys who have the plate appearances to qualify.
  12. Because you were laying on the bleachers after your 5th 'beverage'?
  13. Well, if you are going to publicly slap someone, doing it because of shenanigans in fantasy football is much more understandable than defending your wife's honor. What was Will Smith thinking?
  14. So, how about those Georgia primary election results?
  15. Here's the link. You'll see that they classified the developed world as basically all of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada, and the U.S. Frankly, looking at your graph, I don't consider it to be an 'achievement' to be 'better than' the Central and South American drug havens. https://www.cnn.com/2021/11/26/world/us-gun-culture-world-comparison-intl-cmd/index.html
  16. Your post got me curious as to how many times a team scored just 5 points in a NFL game. I could not find the specific number. The closest I got was this graph that shows between 1966 and 2015 there have been both winning and losing teams score just 5. By the looks of the bars, I'm guessing 1 winning team and 2 losing teams. Interestingly, no team during this era ended a game with just 4 points.
  17. Gun ownership per 100 people. US double that of any other country (Falkland Islands is 2nd) and 10-20 times more than the majority of countries in the world.
  18. Each of the dots on this chart represents a country considered to be in the 'developed' world. One country seems to be quite the outlier compared to the others.
  19. Anyone lawmaker that tries to add pork to a bill on school safety needs to be called out publicly and tossed out of Washington on their backside.
  20. Saw this a little while ago. Field of Dreams is my all time favorite movie. I usually try to watch it on Father's Day. This year it will be a little bittersweet.
  21. I truly have no desire for a neutral site game with UK. Neutral sites are fine for big matchups against non rivals. Rivalry games are so much more meaningful when played on campus.
  22. I say it's 50/50 on this going well or very, very wrong. Jeffersonville has been eating coaches and spitting them out lately. Combined with Sherron's lackluster results at his previous stops and the community goodwill for the homerown guy could easily wear off in 2-3 years.
  23. It's still an outlier. 80/20 rule. Address the 80 percent with everything at your disposal. Deal with the other 20% as best you can after the first 80% is resolved. Look, I know I'm not going to change anyone's mind. That said, of all the topics that divide people in this country, this is the single most puzzling to me that people can't agree on.
