I didn't realize penalty kicks were sudden death like that.

I hate all sudden death overtimes. It seems really against the spirit of competition to me.

To clarify… the start of PKs is not sudden death… it’s best of 5. Then it goes to sudden death.

For those of you who follow the soccer program more closely (I periodically check in throughout the season, but I'm by no means 'in the know'), how is the sustained success perceived nationally? And specifically, in regards to recruiting?

We've had a couple recent standouts, but I haven't seen a truly dominant class or team in a while. Am I wrong? I would think the high profile and proven results would bring in the absolute best of the best in "reload" fashion, a la UCONN women's basketball.

*And this isn't meant as a slight against anyone on the team now.

I'm not positive but we rake it up in the transfer market.  I think the dude who missed the last goal was Big East player of the year or something like that.

They mentioned multiple times our 2018 team was absolutely loaded. 11 pros on it.
