Said he still wasn't practicing or doing contact drills. Also said he was going to meet with him about what XJ wanted to do. Citing travel days. Of course if we had a commissioner someone could step in and say this is the way it's going to be. I can hear the bellyaching from Sparty already. I definitely didn't read it that way at all..... He is anticipating him coming back and said he was shooting for something towards next week, like one of our home games or possibly both. Yes, he said from what he has seen in his individual workouts that he needs to see more out of him and feel more comfortable with what he is seeing. That may not be Saturday, but he is going to listen closely to X and how he feels and what the doctor says. I fully expect to see X back, for sure. Will have to circle around in a couple weeks to see how close things are. I'm torn on a few things. Lots of potential land mines along the way. Better to be on Purdue's side of things? Or would it be better to be 3 seed but have to face and beat Illinois for a 3rd time this year? Not sure which path I like or don't like more. Of course those teams could be saying the same about facing us with Xavier back if indeed he returns. What I didn't notice until this morning is the very real chance of Maryland being a 2 seed.
