Popular Post KDB
All-timer. Just a special talent who gave it his all for 4 years and stayed through some rough times. Not to mention a class act and phenomenal representative for the university. 3rd in points, 1st in rebounds, 1st in blocks in program history. Legend. 29
Popular Post 5fouls
I get frustrated when people try to tie a legacy to team success. Basketball is not an individual sport like tennis or golf. It takes, at a minimum, 6 or 7 guys to help a team win a championship. TJD was a better player than most Hoosiers that were fortunate enough to win one. And, he represented the candy stripes just as well as a person as he did has a player. One of my all-time favorites, and I've been a fan for over 50 years. Edited March 20 by 5fouls
MoyeCowbell
I’ve watched in awe all the amazing things he’s done and I still don’t think it’s hit me just how special of a player he is. His dominance made the extraordinary look routine. I feel his personal IU legacy will age like a fine wine, and I’ll appreciate him more and more as time passes. He deserves all the flowers.
ButlerHoosier
I really hope that he goes on to have an absolute stellar career in the NBA. His talents here were just absolutely special and such a privilege to see!
hoosierfan615
Will really miss him as a person and as a player. Can’t wait to see his career unfold in the NBA! He will forever be a great ambassador for IU basketball!!
94hoosier
Class act. For me he will always be one of the best to ever play for IU.
BobSaccamanno
TJD is one of my all time favorites. Love the kid and very proud of him. If I had to list my all time roster of 13 players going back to 1975, he’d be on my list.

I think all these complaining, fun sucking fans don’t realize just how important of a recruiting advocate TJD has been and still will be for IU! TJD improved dramatically in one extra year under Coach Woodson.
Euroclydon
Trayce will be considered one of the all-time greats at IU and rightfully so. The way he played and how he conducted himself was more than could be expected. Much appreciation for his time and effort at IU. I will always wonder what might have been if he had developed a jump shot during his career.

How can you not look back to last year and see that growth, credit the impact Coach Woodson and whoever else worked with him on his dramatic improvement?
Popular Post Madison22
I hope Trayce has a terrific pro career, then returns to IU in some capacity. He's smart, articulate, and a great ambassador to the school. This is one of my favorite pictures. TJD had just dropped 25 points to help defeat then #1 Purdue on national TV. Fans storm the court. Amid all the noise and cheers and celebration, Trayce immediately seeks out top recruit 6'10" Flory Bidunga and shakes hands. Gabe Cupps standing right next to Flory, as usual, also recruiting. Trayce did not have to do this. But he did. In this moment of victory, he thought of someone other than himself. Just amazing.
Zuckerkorn
Nothing but respect to TJD. He made significant improvement every season he played - something we've not seen from our team in recent years. Probably maxed out his development as a CBB player. Hopefully he can carve out a role at the next level and continue to be a great representative of the program.

The lack of a jump shot, even a FT length jumper, over four seasons is a mystery that may never be solved.

A jump shot will be essential for his NBA aspirations I'd imagine.
Hoosierinbham
I'm really going to miss seeing TJD in an IU jersey. There is now way I thought we would get 4 years of him. It would've been great if he'd had coach Woodson and a better roster all 4 years, but he handled everything with such amazing class. He raised our status on and off the court again. Best wishes on a bright future!
OGIUAndy
TJD = Legend. The team accolades were not what we hoped, but he did all he could. He'll be one of my favorites along with Zeke, Edwards, Cheaney, Henderson, Yogi. All time great and should never be considered anything less. I really, really, really wanted the sweet 16 for him.

Hoosier4Life53
I go all the way back to McGinnis and Downing, May and Buckner, Thomas and Turner, Alford and Smart, and I can’t think of one player that I admire more than TJD, and the way he represented IU on and off the court. 3

IUDan93
I was at IU the four year of Calbert. That team would have been untouchable if TJD was on it.
