With a freshman QB starting, that should hopefully augur well for the future but it was going to be tough sledding. It's just too hard of a jump. A great example is when Lucas was crazy open at the top of the end zone and Tayven didn't read the whole field, despite the fact that Lucas went in motion and Tayven couldn't process that no one went up there with Lucas. That's a pure freshman issue. It's no slam dunk that Tayven will improve and resolve his issues but he has all the signs and it factor to be a guy who can improve drastically. Can we get to 4-5 wins? Hopefully, but expecting a great year with a freshman QB is a bridge too far. MSU, Purdue, Illinois, Rutgers. There are some winnable games in there. I will be surprised if MD doesn't smoke us.
