What time does the lines start forming..thought about taking my son.

I would get in line a couple of hours before the doors open which is what I normally do.

The last couple years when ive taken my 4, 5 now 6 year old...i got in line about an hour early and still got decent seats.  I took my daughter several years ago and we were about 20 people back from the door in line, but we had to get there about 3 1/2 hours early...and it was cold n rainy.  I wont do that again.

My son is 8 and I’m pretty sure he don’t have the patience to stand in line for 3 hours, but I would like to get good seats so he can enjoy his self...is there a football game before

The only time I ever had a problem getting good seats was 2012 and we got there a couple hours before the doors open.  We ended up in the balcony but on a normal year you won't have a problem finding a sea tin the first 30 rows.

As for football they are on a bye week.  They will never have HH on a weekend of a home football game but they do have it when they are on the road.  One time they put out a huge big screen TV for the fans to watch the football game while we were in line.  They will also show the football game on the big screen inside the arena as well.

Just a FYI, that happened twice when I was in school.

Probably doesn't happen anymore.

As a student, we tailgated all morning, went to football game at noon, then wondered over to HH around 4:30. It was a long day....   :)

What years was that because I have went to well over 20 of  them and never remember having it after a home football game.

During Mike Davis years. I’ll try to find the exact date from pictures we took.

I believe you but just don't remember it.  I missed a couple of years through that time as well.

If memory serves, 2003 was one of them.  Don't quote me on that though.  Time hasn't helped, and those memories were a bit fuzzy to begin with.  😂

Thinking back to that stupidity of Archie getting into compliance hot water over escorting recruits across the floor at Hoosier Hysteria...wonder if he can simply point them across the floor and let them take a shortcut across the floor by themselves?

Just stupid the rules IU has to abide by.  I'll bet stuff like that is ignored at UK and LSU.

LSU probably has them ride a drugged up Mike the Tiger across the floor.

Everybody knows who these recruits are and will cheer for them once they see them coming into AH.

Doubtful.   I believe most fans aren't even on fan forums like this and have no idea who IU is recruiting.  I'm considered an IU guru in my hometown simply by passing along information I see on HSN. 😂

I have been to over 20 HH and every year the kids start chanting recruits name every year when they come in.

We’re leaving for vacation on Thursday so my boys and I won’t be able to attend this year. Is there a website I could order some of those posters off of? The boys are kinda bummed we won’t be there to pick some up. Thanks!!

yeah....not even close.

Going all the way back to Damon Bailey......they chanted recruits names if they were present.

The loudest for me personally was Gordon.

Gordon was pretty loud, and it will happen again this year for sure.

IU has a poster specific site :

https://oms.hardingpoorman.com/sv5fmsnet/OeCart/OEFrame.asp?Action=NEWORDER&cmenunodseq=&FromFav=&PmSess1=2302917&pos=IUAOMS&v=2

It is kind of difficult to navigate. At least it was for me.  There is an e-mail address.

However, might I suggest calling IU Athletics at :  812-855-2794

The obvious guys get aome shout outs.  Last i went it was a little awkward.  4 or 5 really tall guys walk in with Yogi.  Crowd chanted for Yogi.  Then another a few minutes later took off for one of the other.  Maybe Hanner.   That was my experience.  This year could get glossed over.  Not a ton of hype around anyone.  Maybe the hometown kid gets the cheers?

This guy might garner some attention.
