milehiiu
I was watching the Michigan game, when it was announced. Sad to hear. That makes two iconic announcers we have lost, in a matter of just days apart.
FWIUFan
Agree. Always enjoyed a Sat afternoon FB game with Keith Jackson and Bob Griese on the call. Loved me some Whoa Nelly!! Prayers to his family as I think he is in a better place.

5fouls
Hands down, my favorite announcer in any sport...... ever. My whole life when a figure I grew up admiring, it was a case of them dying before their time. Now, people I grew up admiring are dying because they are old. That makes me feel old as well. Keith Jackson was on the call when Jay Edwards beat Michigan. The only video I could find was for the aftermath. Wish I could find his live call. milehiiu
What I loved about Jackson.... he just did the games. Always loved the NFL games he did. And looked forward to the college bb games as well. He stayed on point.... THE GAME. Unlike so many others we have doing games today.
Parakeet Jones
He will always be the voice of college football to me.
rico
I think a lot of our younger guys don't realize how it was pre-1985. Before cable or satellite TV got big. To me loosing guys like Keith and Dick not only makes me feel old, but gives me the feeling that a generation is about to come to an end as much as I hate to say it. Seeking6
When I heard news I immediately thought of the Edwards shot and call. That was the time when regular ABC was trying to transition into more college hoops and they called on Jackson/Vitale to deliver. I felt like Keith did about 7 or 8 IU games that year with Edwards doing his late game heroics all year long. RIP Keith Jackson.
