  1. HCQ started being "banned" when the false study came out. My mom has been on HCQ for years (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and a degenerative lung disease). The medicine is safe and has been for many years. Do your own research. The facts show HCQ is effective on treating patients early. Phase 1, initial symptoms. There is plenty of data to back that up. It is not effective once the virus has fully taken hold and the patient is very ill. The vast majority of those debunking its viability are basing their arguments on a patient being very ill. Taking HCQ and not getting better. It is a straw man argument. Distort the claims to easily shoot it down. I do not care who is right or wrong, which side is right etc. I am very familiar with HCQ. I am not an expert on what it does with covid (hell, nobody is a covid expert at this point). What infuriates me is that as soon as a disliked politician says he "likes it", the media ran right to portraying it as some dangerous mystery drug with these god awful side effects. Basically claiming it was not safe. I knew right then, we will never get honest truth. Debate whether it works for covid all you want. My reading has me believing it is useful early. But to call it dangerous, and literally prohibit a doctor from prescribing it? That is wrong. That is scary. It is a safe drug.....it may give you the poops.

  2. Note to self, don't plant 2 of each kind of pepper. 1 is plenty. Edit: Those are gallon bags.

  3. The Leland Walker height thing is pure balderdash. Archie and staff are in daily communication with Walker. The must important defensive attribute for defending other point guards is not being 6’3. It’s having excellent foot quickness to stop the ball and make it difficult for the other lead guard to initiate. You’ve got to keep the ball in front of you and stop it. A defense that doesn’t have a single guy that can do that will have to then compensate for that deficiency. So you try to avoid having that deficiency in the first instance. We also know that Archie has told another smaller player in Smith that he doesn’t care how tall he is. Maybe you want to mix and match personnel to have a roster with a taller guard coupled with a smaller one but the notion that a player can’t be recruited because he’s only 6’0 is false. Besides, Walker is a top flight athlete from what I’ve seen and that kind of athleticism is an equalizer.

  6. It's entirely possible that in some situations hydroxychloriquine works and in others it does not. It does not have to be an all or nothing thing like it is portrayed.

  7. I haven't seen the video. I do plan on watching tonight. My understanding is that it is Frontline doctor talking about what works and doesn't regarding Covid. Is there pornography in there? violence against ethnic groups? It seems that you would want as much information on this topic out there as possible and let people decide for themselves and, ultimately history, as to what is right. I think you hit the nail on the head with your last sentence.

  8. This is not censorship. You can go to Brietbart and watch the video. Just type in the url....it’s that simple. If the government made Brietbart take down that video then it would be censorship. Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are private companies that under no obligation to show anything they don’t want to. Don’t like it? Then stop using their platforms. It’s your right. this is essentially the same as saying Costco is taking away your freedom because they require masks in their store. It’s their store. It’s their decision.

  9. His PER was not as a starting PG as a frosh. He shouldn’t have started and only did because Crean made a promise to him during recruiting. His PER was 13 which is low for a 5 star PG or low for a starting PG in general. We could have walked out a lot of players as a starting PG and still won it. Abell left because of the nonsense. His sophomore season led to a lot of fighting on the team mainly due to his immaturity. Ask Sheehey how many times he would yell at him and the rest of the 2012 and 2013 class. He started doing better on offense as an upperclassmen because losing helps you focus more. However scouts views on his defense in college....not a good write up on that.

  13. Yogi really improved a lot as he went along but man he drove me nuts early on. Defense was terrible I don’t know how anyone can defend him on that...he also had a bad habit of dribbling into trouble and leaving his feet to pass....got much much much better as he got older to the point he was almost a complete pg on offense...but his defense even now in the nba is why he hasn’t broken through with major minutes...let’s be real he can run a second unit but his size and defense keeps him from being elite....Now as far as Walker and Smith etc and what Archie wants...I will leave that up to him I have no clue what’s in his head. I do know Like Bob said....you have to have quickness of foot to stop penetration first and foremost as a pg...it is the most important defensive attribute for a guard imo. Arm length seems to be something big too as it lets guys get hands on passing lanes and driving lanes and contest shots....size is not the end all be all for a pg...but if you look at elite ones in the nba...few if any are 6’0...it can definitely help you separate good from great If you have all else equal.

  17. Interesting and very recent article published by the BBC. Does a fair and balanced discussion of both sides but stops short of actually taking a position. Of note in the article, though, is mention that the study done in France back in May that led them to ban the use of the drug was flawed and has since been retracted. https://www.bbc.com/news/51980731

  20. Here's a Stella Immanuel sermon that wasn't 'censored' where she claims that DNA from space aliens is being used in medicine and that women develop cysts from demonic sperm after demonic sex dreams. I report. You decide. 😎 (5fouls, just having fun. Do agree with your overall assessment. It seems like we're too overwhelmed with distractions these days)

  21. Had my first smaller one the other night. I've got 2-3 that are orange/red but still developing. Should have about 9-10 Cherry tomatoes by the weekend because out of nowhere they've all popped. Pepper game is good so far. Been nice to go outside pick a few and add to dinner each night.

  22. We've been getting cherry tomatoes (orange sugar ones I believe)...Our first big tomato is coloring and should be ready any day. We did pick 3 eggplants yesterday.

  23. Anybody have any ripe tomatoes yet? My "early" ones are starting to turn, but no luck on my brandywines yet. Started getting a couple cherry tomatoes, but they went dry for a few days. Crazy amount of green tomatoes on it, so I'll be overrun with them soon.

  24. When I walked my dog this morning, I swear I saw some of these "tomatoes" next to the road in town. It caught me off guard and it didn't register until we were past it, and my dog was too interested in the squirrel ahead of us to go back, but I am definitely going back today to see if they have any ripe "tomatoes."

  30. I’m intrigued by all the PG offers for this class. IF we have a season (successful) I wonder if anyone would pop early? Like this school year. PS I’m all in on Leland Walker and Braden Smith. Just a personal opinion.
