  2. Yeah...that's about my speed too. My wife is the mechanical engineer in our household. I'm simply a combo gopher-mule. 😂
  3. 1968, my freshman year at IU...saw Jose in concert at IU Auditorium, if my memory serves me. My first true contemporary music concert. LOL 😋
  4. BGleas I understand that you're in pain. But I live in Cincinnati, so forgive me if I say that we have LIVED that pain for basically decades. Just remember the Super Bowl the Eagles won...and be happy. 😂 Ahhh, yes...see what I mean. I've seen this so many times. Totally predictable.
  5. I tend to agree with you... especially his Masters moment. While he managed to win The Open later, the loss of that Masters was the starting point of his downfall.
  6. Family style?? Passing food around with strangers?? Ahhh...no thanks.
  7. It could very well be true. I don't know anything either. But the few times that Spieth was shown during the first two rounds of the US Open he was, of course, struggling... and the visual dejection he showed was really striking. He just seems to have lost his game...what made him successful. Which sounds like what you heard.
  8. The halftime highlights of Sunday's games became a "thing"... and not to be missed as Cosell's persona exploded..."He could...go...all the way!!"
  9. You speaking of Sergio or Spieth? I'm guessing you mean Sergio because Spieth appears to be in agony...and Sergio seems kinda "I'm good...got my major...and I'm 40, happy...life is good!"
  10. DeChambeau is the only player under par out on the course. No one else has shot better than par so far today. With four holes to play and a four shot lead, he's in complete control of the tournament.
  11. DeChambeau puts some pressure on Wolff with eagle at #9...and Wolff answers with his own eagle. Schauffele and English at even par through #11. Going to be interesting back nine.
  12. I'm from Cincinnati... we don't have a NFL team. 😂 No doubt that Wolff can win just like Morikawa at the PGA. He benefits from the lack of a crowd, I believe.
  13. Really looking forward to seeing what Wolff and DeChambeau do today at Winged Foot. Huge pressure on them both. Can they survive continuing to play from the rough?? Will Rory make a run? Or will Oosthuizen quietly sneak up and win a second major? 😁 And there's Schauffele too. I wouldn't be surprised to see him shoot low and win today. One really interesting point being talked about....who benefits and suffers from the lack of fans. The young guys, rookies have to benefit in a major surely versus the established stars.
  14. I'm glad that you mentioned Duval. He is the guy that I think of when looking at Spieth's fall/slump. I believe that Duval had some injuries, but the mental part of his game surely suffered as well. I think it was Azinger (or one of the Golf Channel analysts) who said that Spieth needs to get away by himself and work on his game alone.
  15. Spieth is a shadow of the player he was three years go. Sergio seems like he's been coasting since he won the Masters in 2017.
  16. The rough is really challenging...5 inches and no cutting scheduled. Got to hit fairways. Thomas' 5 under 65 looks impressive. Course should only get more firm, more dry, more difficult, so scoring low today is important.
  17. Oh yeah...the Packers running sweeps with Kramer, Gregg...leading for Taylor, Hornung. Jim Brown running for Cleveland... Gayle Sayers for "da Bears". Great backs everywhere. 😁
  18. On this date in 1963 a bomb exploded at the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama killing four young school girls.
  19. Our neighbor's daughter is a sophomore at Miami. She contracted covid and came home!! Her father tested positive a few days afterwards. Miami is/was a hotspot. Honestly, I'm glad we don't have kids.
  20. I stand by my last post!! Until Trey commits, I'm staying away from this thread. I may lurk...but not gonna post. 😁 Come on, Trey. Be a pal and say, "It's IU." GO HOOSIERS!!!
  21. Of course, it really would help if Trey would simply commit. 😁
  22. This subject is and always has been highly political. It is a toxic subject for many. The board struggles with the topic. Just my opinion, obviously, but it wouldn't bother me if this thread was shutdown.
  23. Call for Bill Self...phone call for Bill Self.
  24. DJ did what he had to down the stretch. 😊
  25. Tom Seaver died today. RIP Tom Terrific. It may have been yesterday, but just announced today. I don't care...either way it's a sad day. Guess he died in his sleep on Monday.
