  1. They rebound, defend, and amazingly most all of them know how to shoot pretty well. Izzo knows what he wants in a player and team and he gets both almost every year. And he does it predominately with three and four star kids. Yeah, yeah...he gets some five star guys, but he doesn't do the KY or Duke thing. He has his faults as we know. Not saying he's a saint.
  2. Absolutely! Plenty of Michigan folks want him gone.
  3. Harbaugh won't have to move!! LOL. 😂
  4. Yeah, I'm sure they've had them, but Few seems to find those kids that are more often going to stay in school awhile and mature into really solid juniors/seniors. 😊
  5. I haven't seen much basketball yet, but I did watch some of Gonzaga vs Auburn. Boy, the Zags are fun to watch. Disciplined with terrific bb IQ... and good shooters. Few is such an exceptional coach. Love how he/they recruit and build a roster. Minimal OAD type players from what I've seen, so they always seem to have good experience.
  6. By no means would I take anything away from the job Coach Pont did or what that team did in 1967. But let's remember that was over 50 years ago. A lot has changed in college football. The business of college football is enormous. The pressures to build a program, recruit, build a staff, WIN games is enormous. Coach Allen is/was under the daily microscope of regular media and social media. It's a different era, Mile. I think a more difficult era in many ways. Just this older guy's humble opinion.
  7. His tweet said "You don't get rid of me that easily. See ya next year." He's a strong kid. Got to be ACL etc. 😡
  8. Joe Burrow carted off the field with apparent severe leg/knee injury. Bad enough that CBS wouldn't replay the video. Sad....the kid was having a really good year statistically. 😞 Very tough break for the Bengals.
  9. I had to go to Dallas on business years ago and was there over the weekend. Went to Dealy Plaza. It was quite surreal seeing the Book Depository Bldg, the grassy knoll area, and how small the entire plaza actually is. As a kid, seeing it on tv, it seemed huge. Going up to the sniper nest was overwhelming... chilling. Everything came to a halt for a lot of people that day. Still remember being in school that day. The announcement to us in our classroom. I was 13 and confused enough as it was...and this didn't help.
  10. My wife and I just finished season 4 last night. Overall we liked it, but probably not as much as earlier seasons. Not thrilled with some of the actors chosen to portray certain persons...and some of the storylines chosen were not as interesting. Just our humble opinion. Still worth watching, I believe. 😊
  11. The original story was a novel written by Walter Tevis. He also wrote The Hustler, if you're familiar with that novel, which was also a movie you might have seen. Once I discovered that Tevis wrote Gambit, I could immediately see similarities to Hustler with regard to style of writing and subject matter. It's much more than a story about chess.
  12. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Very creative in its storyline presentation and terrific visual depictions of a chess player's vision, I thought. Highly recommend. Neither my wife nor I play chess, btw. 😊
  13. On this date 1863, Abraham Lincoln delivered a short speech in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
  14. Please, if it's not too much trouble, could you name a couple of potential recruits who were listed as "shooters". I don't follow recruiting closely and you seem to have knowledge that would be helpful. Thanks! 😊
  15. When you say large street gatherings are you speaking of the protests or street parties? Just curious. 😊
  16. He certainly wouldn't agree with that assessment, nor do I, but I think I understand what you're saying. He has THE BEST golf demeanor on the PGA Tour. He handles most everything with the same non-emotional response. He does appear to be in a very good zone and mentioned how confident he's feeling, so you may be right about him winning the tournament today. Hope so! 😁
  17. DJ shoots a second 65 and takes a 4 shot lead into Sunday. He played beautifully today...totally under control. He is unflappable seemingly. I'm stoked for tomorrow. 😁
  18. I really love the drone camera shots of Augusta National. Totally new look/perspective of the layout.
  19. DJ finishes his first round -7. Starts his second round with birdies on #11, 12, 13 moving to -10. Has 3 shot lead. Course still quite soft allowing players to shoot at pins with abandon.
  20. Just a couple of points of curious interest...one, the term fans is replaced with patrons by the announcing team...and two, while we and everyone call it The Masters, I noticed that the on screen visual is just...Masters. Maybe it's always been that way and I've simply missed it. Nothing of any real importance... just curious. 😊
  21. "Teen Wolf" was comedy. The Michael Landon flick was classic cheap horror from 1957. 😁
  22. Michael Landon in "I was A Teenage Werewolf".
