Hello all: As you saw, we had more server issues yesterday. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. As you all might recall, our reason for moving from HSN.01 to 247 was this exact issue: server costs. As the website grows, we're unfortunately in a rat race with our server capabilities and my technical abilities (or lack thereof, unfortunately). Since the Woodson mega crash of 2021, we have engaged a 24/7 server admin who gets us back up whenever we go down. As of today, we are changing our web servers to move to a provider more attuned to our unique kind of traffic - massive, sudden spikes - and that will be better able to handle us. We're hoping that gets us in a better place. Several folks have asked about the finances: we've all handled this out-of-pocket in addition to the incredibly generous contributions some have made. Our monthly costs currently run in the several hundred range. We will see if these shifts to a new server provider keep that the same or rise - we hope they may actually drop slightly. We've also turned on ads for guests to raise recurring revenue. Hey guests - if you don't want ads, all you have to do is register and make a few posts! We'll keep folks updated and I'll see if we can nip this problem in the bud before our annual CBB 4-day holiday starting tomorrow.

3-4 years ago, we grew too much and extended beyond my capabilities as a web host. I'm conversant but not much more. We have a small subscription to a 24/7 server admin but I'm exploring an entirely new web host and a new server admin. The honest answer is "I don't know," but several hundred at least.

The honest answer: Money. To be a little more sustainable, we turned on ads for guests (hey guests - get rid of them by registering!) so we have a bit more cash flow to pay for more hosting horsepower and also a professional to clean up our database.

I am sure Vlad will be irate but who cares. It’s a 2022 Lend Lease program - meet American production lines (or in this case… advanced military technology)! ukraine gets planes they’re cross trained on, Poland gets new planes, American defense industry gets a stock boost (as if they needed any help), and Vlad eats one.

To some degree, they’re just hitting shots. Teams get hot. But us turning it over certainly doesn’t help.

We aren’t gonna shoot 56% every day but our offense has flowed nicely - it’s not like we are hitting circus shots. These are catch and shoot, in rhythm. That is progress.
