If you tried to log on to HSN this morning, you got an error code. It was NOT, however, a crash. I know, you all have PTSD! Our software provider had a rather large software update. It normally runs rather quickly, but this one not so much. In any matter, we're up now.

Might have to pick this up, sounds real interesting - I am always a fan of the 10,000 foot/500 year horizon view.

USA has, by some measure, the youngest team in the WC. Excited to see this golden generation keep developing, especially after our lost generation immediately before them.

If we can't make it out of this group, we're much farther away than we thought we were from soccer relevance.

I'm not mad about this draw at all. We've been in group of death several times recently. Honestly, it doesn't seem like there is one this cycle, but even if there were, we ain't in it.

I don't follow the ins and outs of recruitment nearly as much as I used to. Growing up, more responsibilities, oh well. Can someone summarize where we're at with the major recruits - who are they, how many stars, who else is in competition, where does it sound like we stand, etc etc. That would be a huge help.

Hello all: As you saw, we had more server issues yesterday. This was the straw that broke the camel's back. As you all might recall, our reason for moving from HSN.01 to 247 was this exact issue: server costs. As the website grows, we're unfortunately in a rat race with our server capabilities and my technical abilities (or lack thereof, unfortunately). Since the Woodson mega crash of 2021, we have engaged a 24/7 server admin who gets us back up whenever we go down. As of today, we are changing our web servers to move to a provider more attuned to our unique kind of traffic - massive, sudden spikes - and that will be better able to handle us. We're hoping that gets us in a better place. Several folks have asked about the finances: we've all handled this out-of-pocket in addition to the incredibly generous contributions some have made. Our monthly costs currently run in the several hundred range. We will see if these shifts to a new server provider keep that the same or rise - we hope they may actually drop slightly. We've also turned on ads for guests to raise recurring revenue. Hey guests - if you don't want ads, all you have to do is register and make a few posts! We'll keep folks updated and I'll see if we can nip this problem in the bud before our annual CBB 4-day holiday starting tomorrow.
