  1. Obviously Tamar has to show he can consistently be that type of player off of the bench, but if he can... It's possible we'd have two guys in Malik and Tamar coming off of our bench that would start for literally every other team in the conference. They're both 5 star guys so it isn't exactly crazy, other than the fact that we're so good we have two five stars coming off of the bench.
  2. I only watched sporadically because of holiday things we had going on, but that really stood out to me as well from what I did see. TJD is just so, so good on both ends, it really elevates everyone. On offense if we need a bucket? Just get TJD the ball and we are either scoring or someone is getting a good look out of it this year. On defense, he is just a stopper down low. Everyone is better as a result of having him behind them.
  3. Yeah that was always a strange narrative about returning the same team.
  4. Reneau was last to commit. I would assume there was some sort of conversation between Woody and Rob that he’d played four years at IU and gotten his degree, it was time to move on.
  5. Officiating in the Arkansas game is pretty rough unless you're a Creighton fan. 9-2 on fouls in the second half, a tech on the Arkansas bench (still not sure what was done to earn it, and the most recent foul was a very late call from an out of position ref, that when they look at the replay checking for a hook and hold they will see no contact occurred.
  6. Would he have had a roster spot available to him this season?
  7. Race isn't dominating, but he has also taken some major strides.
  8. 39 games means deep runs in the BTT and NCAAT. 40 would be the max amount of games if we were to play in the championship game of both tournaments, so 39 would be a championship game and a semi-final.
  9. That’s a lot more games for a team to have to go through for a championship.
  10. It would be a great thing for the team and for JHS to add to his skillset. It would serve him really well in the NBA someday, too.
  11. I personally think the scoring for him is a confidence issue. He's gotta to be solid in every other area so he can be trusted to stay in when he isn't scoring, and then I think the scoring will follow. For all the people that harp on Kopp getting minutes even when he isn't shooting well, a large part of that is his experience and the fact that he consistently makes solid plays.
  12. This is obviously a subjective question, but how high can TJD climb on the All-Time list of Hoosier players? I made the comment the other day that he is, at this point, the best player I can remember and I'm 34. Yes, I realize Calbert and maybe Henderson were better, but I don't remember them. To me, he can get into the Top 5. If we were to win the Conference, make a FF or win it all, and he finishes in the Top 3 All-Time in scoring I think he's got a very compelling case for that. Where exactly in the top 5? Man that's a really tough question because I'm not even sure I can tell you who deserves number 1 right now.
  13. You're just gonna pretend you aren't a UT football fan now?
  14. I agree - I think it's partly the play calling and partly the offensive line. We don't call a lot that even makes throwing downfield possible which is a shame because we have two guys that I think can go up and get the ball very well.
  15. If Trayce keeps playing this way, I think teams would be crazy to not take him in the 20s. Does he have an outside jumper? Nope. Is he excellent at what he does do? Yup! He may never be an All-Star in the NBA, but if you are really good at a few things you can play effectively for a long time in the association. This is the first time I've really thought he could stick in the NBA, but I do now.
  16. Fair to say Michigan athletics should be thanking referees a lot this weekend?
  17. Yeah agreed. The Colts did a really good job containing Hurts, until they didn’t. Missed penalty aside because those happen (and that didn’t actually impact the play), the PI on Franklin and the 4th and 2 coming out of the two minute warning were the game IMO. Eagles made plays, Colts didn’t. Colts offense has to find more ways to move the ball. They have continually let down a very good defense.
  18. NFL got you guys back for the missed facemask last week. Either way, Colts blew that game. Our offense didn’t capitalize on good field position several times. Constantly shot ourselves in the foot with penalties or negative plays, and I thought we were far too conservative. Needed to take more shots down the field.
  19. No I don’t think so this year. More like low 40s.
  20. Yeah, I want to trust our players to make decisions in real time. Part of that trust means things won’t always go to plan - it happens. Basketball, like every other sport, isn’t a game of perfect.
  21. I really love this Pacers core - I don't think this start is a fluke but the schedule has certainly been soft. Although I think it's highly unlikely we get a top 5 pick, we do have 3 first rounders next season and can hopefully move up. This team is giving me some Memphis vibes in terms of a really talented young core built around a dynamic backcourt. Not saying Hali and Benni are Ja and Bane level, but I'm also not sure they can't be that good as a combo. If Turner keeps playing this way I'd definitely be interested in bringing him back if he wants to be here.
  22. Yeah, this. I liked Archie from Day 1 and still do like him, but it was pretty apparent it wasn't working wasn't likely ever going to work for whatever reason.
  23. I liked him a lot and was also said to see him leave, but am very neutral on him now. He was wanted here and would have started (and still would), but he chose to leave. It’s his life and he can do what he wants, I certainly don’t wish him ill, but he isn’t one that made an easy to understand decision to where I’m going to keep rooting for him actively.
  24. I mean I literally said the distribution would change prior to the game and you continued arguing beyond that…
