I think we just picked up a guy who is going to be one of the most hated players in the B1G, and I love that.

But you didn’t say anything about punishing Sarver, who did say that word, but you had no problem saying Rose should be fired and bringing up the race card. We can have a discussion about journalistic integrity and if people should be fired for erroneous reporting and saying pretty crappy things. I’d imagine we would agree about more than we would disagree, but the fact remains lots of journalist report crappy, untrue things and don’t lose their job regardless of skin color. Sometimes we even give Medals of Freedom to such individuals. I don’t like it, but it is what it is. And just as an FYI, erroneously means something is wrong. Some synonyms for it are false, unfounded or untrue. I think that’s a fair description of what Rose said, don’t you?

What do you think should happen to Sarver who actually said the word in a different setting if Rose should be fired for erroneously saying he said it? Surely actually saying it is worse, no?

I think your commentary was 100% not true and could point to tons of examples of journalist not getting fired. You seem to be looking for a debate on race for some reason, why?

Why even add this commentary when you know there’s no where good it can go?

I'm not sure we became disinterested. I think we had some bad breaks between a few tough calls and a guy we had completely shut down getting red hot. I also don't think our shooting problems will magically go away, but I also think water finds it's level and we didn't see that level last night. We didn't miss a bunch of shots because we were taking bad shots, we just missed shots. Over time we'll shoot in the mid 30's from deep as a team and probably high 60s from the line. With a better defense and better job taking care of the ball that alone is enough to put us into the area of a much better team.

I finally watched the game... I think a lot of you are overreacting to one game. I'm not going to say I'm encouraged but I'm certainly not discouraged. We have a good team that should be a solid tournament team.

I didn’t get to watch (recorded and will watch later) but looking at the box score it seems like Woody is going to give older guys the first chance to earn PT. I don’t expect our minutes to continue being dispersed like they were last night if certain guys don’t play better.

Which is not the same at all as being down with under 20.

Hitting a last second shot to win a back and forth game is different than three straight come backs that are 2 possession leads with under 20 seconds. That's the other team blowing a game three games in a row.

It did. It also was one of the luckiest runs I can remember. That same program also gets bounced in the first round on a regular basis.

They seem to have. He’s an NBA caliber scorer already. Once we get Levert and Warren back we will have some serious depth on the wing.

We will have to agree to disagree. AD has a career PER higher than Dwight’s career best PER. AD averages more points for his career than Dwight’s career high. The two aren’t comparable on offense. They’re both elite defenders, Dwight probably being more dominant while AD is more versatile. The stats (not vanity award, actual stats) are laughably in favor of AD. That’s why he made the team over Dwight.

And there’s definitely bias in that award towards pure 5s. Davis lead the league in blocks more than Howard and I don’t think anyone is going to begin to discuss who is a more versatile defender between the two. Dwight was a force for a good stretch, but AD is probably going to go down as one of the best PF ever. Anyone really think Dwight stacks up historically at Center?

This isn’t exactly an apples to apples comparison. Howard is a center, who was he competing with for the first team selections? The competition AD has had for first team selections is SIGNIFICANTLY steeper. As in two of the probably top ten players of all time being considered forwards and then front court players.

I can’t agree with that. Davis career average for points is better than Howard’s career high. Davis has been an elite defender for longer than Howard was one. Howard was a better rebounder in his prime but that’s about the only area you could give him the edge.

Wait… you’re saying Howard should have been on the 75th Anniversary Team over AD??
