I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.. half of the “illegal screens” called are pure BS

Every time I’ve watched Trevion Williams this season he’s plays awful. I’d play Edey until exhaustion every game if I were painter

In regards to the new assistant’s ability to coach (i.e. basketball mind) I think that’s less important to Woodson than recruiting. Woodson has his guys that he listens to (Hill, Todd, Wittman) and guys like Ya and Hunter are there to get him good players. I would expect a similar hire in this case.

Makes sense. None of us here know the true reasoning behind this (although I’m sure details will come) so it’s all speculation. I guess it really comes down to how big the rift was between them and what the specifics are. If it was something small, then I agree with your sentiment.

But let's not sit here and pretend Woody was phenomenal with X's and O's all season.  There were some lapses although we were better later in the season.  There's no way Fife was leading him astray after working at a high level at MSU.

Ultimately, I find it to be weak leadership to move on from a good coach due to some dysfunction.  This should have gotten worked out.  It's ridiculous.

I don’t mean this in a rude way, but would you rather have a dysfunctional coaching staff leading to division in the locker room and other issues? If there were true issues going on among the staff I’d prefer it to be fixed sooner rather than later. 

Reflecting back to last spring… it seems like Woody was told to hire Fife and he didn’t seek him out himself.

Leal is an interesting scenario because you have a guy that started one game (under a very specific scenario.. Stewart sitting and Galloway injured) yet also failed to see the court in about half of the games. I really have no idea where exactly he stands with Woodson. Who knows maybe Woodson has some confidence in him heading into next year? I do get your point though about whether or not he has what it takes to make that major leap forward.

Watching the UCONN UCF game and I can’t stand when refs try to make themselves the center of attention. Just make the call and move on. You don’t gotta wave your arms 20 damn times before you make the actual call.

Regarding TJD, his play in the BTT and NCAA has shot him up the mock drafts. Several sites have him listed anywhere between 37-47. 

I wouldn’t underestimate how much a guy like zeisloft would’ve impacted this years team.

I can definitely imagine the idea of playing another season at IU with his teammates and cementing himself as one of the greats has got to be pulling at his heart strings a little…

I admittedly haven’t watched any of Arizona this year… but Mathurin is a stud. He’s got a new fan going forward

The amount of “illegal screens” I’ve seen in this tournament is ridiculous. If you’re not going to call it correctly don’t call it at all.

Poor conditioning? The team seemed to be in pretty good shape throughout the season. Eventually it will catch up (St Marys). Even the players referenced how the off-season workouts have helped them be in great shape for the season.

I think Cormac Ryan for Notre Dame is what we hoped Miller Kopp would have been for us this season
