  1. St Johns is doing all the little things right now
  2. One thing that concerns me about our starting lineup is the lack of quickness. TJD and XJ are pretty much locked in to guarding the opposing center and pg. That leaves us with Kopp, Stewart, and Race to guard 2-4. Race is a great defender but idk if he’ll have the quickness to keep up with Champagnie, who plays like a guard. On the other hand our starters will likely have a height advantage over most teams we play…
  3. We may have a long night when we play Syracuse if we don’t start shooting a little better. But hopefully CMW can get us a good game plan for them
  4. While I haven’t been watching, it sounds like the cameraman could use a halftime just as much as the teams
  5. I certainly do agree that the team could use some more enthusiasm and emotion, especially after these last 4 years of Archie Miller at the helm. Thomas Bryant comes to mind. Hopefully that picks up soon. I don’t think I was bothered as much by the introductions as you were. I was simply happy to see IU basketball for the first time in 8 months and fans in the building (it feels like it’s been forever). But looking back there definitely could have been more emotion shown. I wasn’t at the game so I can’t speak on what the atmosphere was like. I realize I came across harsher than intended in that original post. I was probably just a little irritated on the shooting performance and thought posters should have been paying more attention to that. So, I apologize for coming off that way and your perspective is definitely valid. But dang can we please make shots! I miss the Yogi and Zeisloft team, they could shoot the ball.
  6. Just turned this game on as well. I’ve always enjoyed watching AD and rooted for him a little more than others. Definitely going to watch him when I can at Providence.
  7. As much as I hate UK, Oscar Tshiebwe was very impressive last night. Dennis Rodman-esque performance… 12 offensive rebounds and 19 total rebounds.
  8. Never got around to posting it but it was nice getting to see the team play, even if it was a loss like expected.
  9. Good teams can do one or the other, but great teams can do both… hopefully we can progress in that area
  10. I wonder if that had to do with XJ’s turnovers. After his stint of 3 TO’s, we seemed to play a little more under control but now that I think about it, it coincided with a drop off in transition points. I definitely think XJ is going to be key in getting us out in transition, he just has to value the ball more.
  11. If we struggle again like we did in the second half, I'll become concerned. Until then, I have confidence that we can learn/adapt and handle teams like this.
  12. Probably came across a bit more hostile than I intended and may have been a bit of an overreaction. Not saying anyone isn't free to post their thoughts on other aspects of the game. It just came across a classic case of finding other things to complain about once one thing goes wrong. Again, not trying to strike a nerve with anyone.
  13. The fact that we shot 16% from 3 & 60% from the line and haircut and PA announcing are a topic of focus in this discussion is beyond me. We clearly have bigger issues lol. Not taking shots at anyone, but really?
  14. Goodness Race, save some rebounds for the rest of us. And he went out early with 2 fouls.
  15. Love getting to see all the pregame hype on TV, one good thing about not having anyone playing before us.
  16. For people at the game, how is the turnout? Doesn’t look too packed but there are still a few minutes until tip-off.
  17. If you go back and watch the video of Coach Ya that was posted on twitter, Durr and Bates were both seen on the sideline at one point during their scrimmage. Durr was dressed but Bates didn't have a practice jersey on so take that for what it's worth.
  18. Right of CMW and behind Geronimo. Has a hat on it looks like
  19. I agree 100%, loved watching him at IU
  20. I would assume that his prediction is based off the assumption that IU is a larger brand than the average Div 1 school and our basketball team in general has a greater following. Thus, skewing the value higher for our athletes. As far as I know no numbers have been shared for our athletes.
  21. You know basketball season is near now that injuries and whether or not Clif Marshall should be the SC coach is being brought up weekly! In all seriousness, I’m not concerned. At least not yet. No reason for guys to risk anything worsening before the season starts. If the injuries are legit and this continues long into the season then we should he concerned. But for now, I’m not worried about the staff being cautious on players’ health.
  22. So basically other teams’ insiders are saying they’re not hearing anything and our insiders are very confident… that tells me all I need to know
