This may not qualify under the rules of this thread, but I’ve said this reminds me of the Noah Vonleh year. One year, first round draft pick big man, with nothing to show for it.
Except Vonleh mailed it in halfway through conference play that year. I haven't seen that from anyone on this team (at least those that contribute still)

It's entirely possible that some guys will leave whether Woodson stays or not. If Malik is thinking about leaving, it may have something to do with being closer to home.

But I'm telling you right now--- the optics are that the staff was lazy and decided to sit on their hands. Again, the optics.

The open scholarship is not optics for me.. I can see justification for all the portal moves we made. I don't agree with adding both Sparks and Walker but I can see some justification (benefit of the doubt). But, that open scholarship is altogether different for me. If someone want's to try and justify it, I'll listen but I can find no reason whatsoever that there should not be a body (specifically a guard of some sort) filling it. Someone give me a scenario where we are better off having an open spot.

He said that our next coach could be coaching in the final four sober might have to wait.
Does that mean we have to get him waisted for him to come coach at IU? 😜

X... 6 assists to 1 turnover, solid D, consistently broke their pressure.
P. S. Mbako was excellent too

Good point about the NBA….with a schedule of 82 games, a loss here and there is no big deal, so you move on to the next game. Unfortunately, you don’t have that luxury in college, and that may affect his decision making. We’ll see if he adapts next year assuming he’s back.
Not to mention that over half of the teams make the playoffs and you don't really have to "build a tournament resume"

As for the recruiting, could be we have zero chance with those top 2 or 3 kids for '25 and are not wasting time. Maybe they have already eliminated IU and the staff knows. Do we know if the staff was at any games on Friday?
I heard they were having an epic Tecmo Bowl tournament in Cook Hall and just couldn't get away.

how about if he was forced to stop and be interviewed on his way to the locker room at halftime?
Oh man... Networks would be praising the broadcast delay for sure

Sorry, I had to laugh. It was pretty apparent that CBK was going to struggle with the new generation of kids.
Can you imagine RMK vs social media? Yikes!!!

Did not watch a single second of the game. Decided to devote my wife-approved free time today to watching some pre-season baseball. No sense making time for something that makes me unhappy. Life's too short.
I played golf instead. Sucking at that is way more enjoyable than watching IU games these days

Just astonished at how petty that is. I have a lot of respect for Orleans, Coach Bradley, and their team. Have for years.
Their current SR group-- Alston, Hall, and Allen are some kids I have coached in AAU and REALLY good kids, good families. It's a shame Orleans admin are still pouting about the ticket situation from last year.
Background-- BC has sold over 2200 season tickets the last two years-- they allotted 400 visitor tickets per game this year and last... Orleans, I'm pretty sure, had an issue with that last year, only gave us 200 tickets this year when we played @ Orleans.....
But then stated that they had extra tickets for sale to the public at certain times this week--Brownstown had people show up to buy some, and they were turned away after Orleans admin ID'ed them.
That's nutz! and extremely petty for sure

This is not intended to be another thread to debate the topic but you can't put a poll in an existing thread (at least I didn't see a way to). I was just curious to get a general view of where folks stand (anonymously of course).

Holy crap...That game was so bad I didn't realize a flagrant was called on us.
They called a flagrant on the IU bench for how bad the defense was.

What is funny about this post. You see NFL coaches having to make staff changes to keep their jobs all the time. The Colts told Jim Mora to fire DC Vic Fangio and he refused. After that the Colts fired Mora. You can't just bring everything back the same because what is being done isn't worked for 3 years.
2 minutes ago, IU Scott said:You have to make some changes because what we have seen isn't working.
I don't disagree with that at all. Changes need to be made on the staff for sure, but could you imagine...
Woodson: "We realized that things aren't working and have decided to make some changes. We're replacing our strength and conditioning coach. Next question..."
The HSN server would crash because of how ridiculous and irrelevant that move would be.

Just kidding about being a Tar Heel fan, but I live NC, and trust me, they don’t think he’s any better than we think Woodson is. He’d already be gone, if the fans had anything to say about it.
As a fellow NC resident, I concur.
There was a season (2009?) they wanted Roy Williams fired(forced to retire) because they didn't make the tournament. That was after 2 national championships!!

I came to terms years ago with my NFL team (Carolina Panthers 😔) being run by bumbling idiots. I guess I need to come to similar terms with IU basketball.
